Did anyone go to Sunvalley Mall before the shelter-in-place?

I work at the mall and this weekend it was busy but throughout the week barely anyone was there my store would get about 3 customers max per hour lower than usual. yesterday only people walking around were the workers of the mall to see who was still open. very few customers in general.

Of course people went to Sunvalley Mall, the Mall was packed every week end, and during the week still quite busy. I work at Macy’s there and week ends we were always busy. Last week it started to slow down, but I still had some big sales, I work in dresses and better sportswear, seems like the people that really needed clothes was still shopping. Saturday was steady, but not as busy as most other Saturdays when we have a big sale. I was off Sunday, yesterday I worked from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. the mall was dead, I think I had 6 customers, and 2 was returns.

Better hope you don’t need a pair of shoes, underwear or anything like that.

Amazon, Costco, Walmart, Target still open

TO CJRN, Since the mall is closed, there won’t be any cars, or very few, I assume they will step up security, and since there are very few cars, it will be easy for security to spot would be break ins.

I can see no reason for the mall to be open but I feel bad for the employees. I’m glad the Safeway is open and the gas station

John P,
I know you! You are the man who was seething the morning you awoke & found out Donald Trump had won the election, stolen it from Hilary. You were enraged. You knew this wasn’t right, there was a mistake. When you realized it was not a mistake, you looked for everything that came along to be his downfall, just like many, many others. The Comey firing, the Brett Kavanaugh interrogation, the Steele dossier, Russia-gate, the Ukraine phone call that lead to the impeachment, among many other things. Now it is Coronavirus. I would expect nothing less from you! Whatever President Donald J Trump does, he will be hanged by you. He was a racist for closing travel from China in January, then he did not close the travel from China soon enough. Yes, I know you. You are a bitter, angry man who has never gotten over the morning after the election in Nov. 2016. Nothing new here.

I agree

I don’t think Trump is crying that the elections are being cancelled.

I agree too

Man, this guy is really upset that Sunvalley is closed.

What about for mall walking? The weather is not good outside lots of people do regular laps around the mall.

Why tempt fate for your personal recreation?

If you have a computer go to UTube, type in Leslie Sansone in the search area, she has all kinds of walk at home or walk in place programs from 15 minutes to 60 minutes, fast walk, happy walk, some with light weights. I have been using her programs for years, either because of bad weather, or it saves me time not to have to drive anywhere. I turn down the volume and either put on music or talk radio.

Please be patient. Be kind. Pray.
Just think..we can work on projects we had to put off because we were busy at work etc. And…enjoy your family and love ones you’re with.

Just sayin’

Agree with you!

Good thoughts Ming. Thank you.

Stop blaming the mall, because you leave your laptop on your backseat, and someone breaks your window! Been going there 40 years, and never a problem.
Thanks Ming. Couldn’t have put it better.

Who will feed the rats with all the mall restaurants closed?
