Congressman Mark DeSaulnier’s town hall meeting on preventing gun violence, originally scheduled for March 18 at Diablo Valley College, has been postponed.

The move comes in response to the guidance of Contra Costa Health Services, which has recommended that Contra Costa residents avoid mass gatherings in an attempt to reduce the spread of coronavirus.

Good decision.
I was wondering why he planned this meeting in the first place during this crisis.

He planned this way before the new guidelines were presented by the CC Health Dept. This is nothing unusual either. All events are changing here due to the virus. Duh!

Didn’t think there would ever be a benefit of the Chinese Coronavirus.

Just spit coffee…hilarious!

Behind every cloud……..

Who is going to go there when people are asked to stay away from public gatherins due to the Coronavirus???

I respect Mark…but this does not make sense.

Disappointed. I have known Mark for some time…….when he was a Republican. Was going to ask the crowd just how dangerous I look since I am HR218 and can carry anywhere.

Untrue you cannot carry “everywhere”…

A few exceptions…..planes, courts, some government buildings…places where it shouldn’t matter.

Good. No one wants that meeting anyway.

Well, THERE’S a silver lining!

Well, I don’t know, I would like to know HOW he is going to prevent gun violence.

Why didn’t he just declare it a virus-free zone? That works, right?

They finally found something that would make DeSaulnier shut up!

Glad it was postponed. Yet another waste of time led by the Libs and Dems who only care about the next vote.

Who Cares

Ditto

Why bother? The meeting isn’t going to be about actually enforcing laws on criminals. It was only for planning their continued assault on the 2nd amendment and law abiding gun owners. Heaven forbid you punish the folks who actually commit crimes.

2/3s of gun deaths are suicides.

More people fall off ladders and die each year versus the number killed with rifles. Odd how we never hear about ladder control.
