MDUSD in its infinite wisdom has informed teachers that the Teacher Inservice Day this Monday, the 16th will go on as planned. Teachers from different schools will gather in large groups to do AVID activities…something the District cut out during the recent budget cut decisions.

MDUSD is so financially messed up right now, They cannot afford to close the schools nor postpone any sort of In-service.

Going to watch basketball tonight with twenty people and going to the movies on Friday night. We will lose some seniors and some with compromised systems…………others will have the flu. Get over it.

108RS

Tell that to the world’s largest financial markets…and their outlook. 6 TRILLION dollars has been lost.

Chinese Corona virus spreads at 2x the rate of the flu, and has a death rate of 10x the flu. The World is significantly impacted – financially and otherwise.

Wake up…

@ whome

The death rate of the seasonal “flu” is .01% according to the NY Times. That would make the death rate of Coronavirus 1%.

In other words, 99% of the population will recover from this virus..

Calm down…

@Carnac
The WHO claims the death is 3.4% (but they are a political group, so take it with a grain of salt).
You’re also off one decimal point on your NY Times citing, BTW, but that’s irregardless.
Regardless of the death rate, there is a significant impact to the USA – and the World economy. REGARDLESS of any virus or health risks. The NBA season is cancelled, the MLB season will be impacted, stocks are down close to 30%, the bond market has virtually collapsed, the Fed just thru in 1.5T dollars to increase liquidity, Disney Land is closed, and the average Joe is freaked out. And we’re just getting started. Wait until these numbers get reported in Q2, LOL.

In the last 14-days, we went from the strongest economy on record, to a recession. The next two weeks will likely even be more exciting.

If anyone thinks this situation is “irrelevant”, it is NOT irrelevant – financially. Is the fear over hyped – yep. Doesn’t matter what caused it, it’s impacting our economy.

It’s a great stock buying opportunity!

Yes, 99+% of the World’s population will likely not be troubled by the virus, physically. But they WILL be impacted financially.
Best regards…

You’re a jerk, Jeff.

But just a couple of weeks ago Trump said coronavirus was a Democratic hoax…

How can this possibly be a concern…

Trump never said the coronvirus was a Democratic hoax, he said the Democrats criticism of his administration’s response to the coronavirus to impeach him is their new hoax.

Dawg they know what he said they just like to be S disturbers. Thats all they have left.

Fake News, bullbleep. Let’s impeach him again, and increase his popularity even more!

Keep repeating the lies of the MSM, Rob. Such a sense of duty you have.

So, like gatherings of 750 to 1200 kids on a school site, touching all the surfaces all the other kids touched and then going home to visit grandma, you mean?
