Punxsutawney Phil beat them to it, he already predicted an early Spring.

Bob February 29, 2020 - 12:00 AM - 12:00 AM

That beaver is all right

There could be relief soon. Fairly good chance of rain in the second week of March, starting on the 9th.

Captain Bebops March 1, 2020 - 12:01 PM - 12:01 PM

Didn’t even take that long, it was sprinkling this morning.

Aunt Barbara February 28, 2020 - 12:24 PM - 12:24 PM

stop fearing. Mother Nature knows what’s she’s doing. It will rain again when she’s ready.

As anyone with a computer could have researched, this El Nino season was predicted to be “neutral”, meaning neither particularly wet nor dry. This is exactly was has occurred, even though the news report video sounded a bit concerning in it’s tone.

There is no such thing as a water shortage. There is the same amount of water on the planet as always.Maybe stop diverting half of our water to LA?All this,is a clue they warned you about your rates going up tomorrow.

Jojo Potato February 28, 2020 - 4:47 PM - 4:47 PM

You’re making no sense. What really matters is how much rain/snow we get each year. Please stop posting nonsense. Thanks.

nytemuvr February 28, 2020 - 6:55 PM - 6:55 PM

@Jojo Potato… Now there’s the pot calling the kettle black.

james February 28, 2020 - 8:02 PM - 8:02 PM

Jojo, your posts are strickly to disagree or try to insult. You don’t even know why you disagree anymore,it’s just all you know.Youre a liberal, you make no sense,or dollars.
No matter how much rain,if half of the water is sent away,it takes twice as much rain to get by.

WC Resident February 28, 2020 - 8:47 PM - 8:47 PM

james is correct in that there is no water shortage on a planetary scale. He’s ignoring that sometimes there’s too much in one area (flooding) or too little in another area (drought). He’s also ignoring the energy and labor cost if humans were to try to move water from a flooded area to a drought stricken area.

Using james’ logic there are also no seasons. James’ view of Earth is it’s at a single temperature, worldwide. He would be correct if he lived on a nearby star system and measured Earth’s surface temperature from there.

WC none of your other sheepy leftist posts make any sense to anyone but you. There is no water shortage in the bay are,we are surrounded by billions of gallons of water.they charge a premium for what they say you can drink, but they don’t bother with water everywhere but not a drop to drink, because people like you will believe anything. They is no water shortage but artificial one, that you subscribe too.Human labor costs to move water? Its called a water pump.Yea,they don’t shovel it by hand or use buckets anymore little camper, and they don’t “move it from a flooded area to a drought area”.They would be thousands of miles apart professor, study weather some time.theres no drought down the street from a flood. That is hilarious though…get some rest maybe.Anything to disagree from the left,of course. They seem defensive right now,and I can’t imagine why??

Bob February 28, 2020 - 4:23 PM - 4:23 PM

Dam it.

Ozzie February 29, 2020 - 6:48 PM - 6:48 PM

It’s only a drought if you turn on the tap and no water comes out.

james February 29, 2020 - 11:21 PM - 11:21 PM

it’s easy-divert money used to support criminals that sneak into our country and build a few water purification plants along the bay. It’s an endless supply that’s free.I can’t wait to hear why this is “wrong’.
