Shortly thereafter, officers learned that a victim of a gunshot wound was dropped off at a nearby hospital.

Officers were able to confirm that this victim was shot earlier near the intersection of Riviera Avenue at Parkside Drive. The victim is in critical condition but is expected to survive.

Based on preliminary information, investigators believe this is an isolated incident and do not believe there is an active threat to the community.

A suspect has not been arrested.

The suspect will never be arrested if WCPD is handling the case.

Maybe they don’t want to drive all the way to Antioch to arrest him.

Nice rush to judgement! What do you do for a living? How would you like to be trashed every day for doing your job!?
Police aren’t the problem. Criminal conduct in the state of California is and our leadership’s failure to do anything about it! You want to pick on someone, keep your eye on the new San Francisco D.A. He openly hates law and order!

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a mental illness that causes repeated unwanted thoughts or sensations (obsessions) or the urge to do something over and over again (compulsions).

Like repeatedly making anti-police comments….

That, and just being a moron!

Bring back Law and Order for everyone and stop the freebies for the repeat laziness that California seems to give away to legal and illegal voters just so a certain group can get votes. Wake up and stop being under the Democratic, Liberal and Nanny spell.

WCPD is a very good department. One of my best friends was the #1 homicide investigator in Los Angeles, sometimes these cases take time.
