I’m not going to lie. Snow atop Mt Diablo is still my favorite. It’s beautiful, and I don’t have to shovel it!

Ours is such a lovely, convoluted “double mountain”! Please, those of you who know her well, is that Mt. Zion on the left? …. i.e. in this beautiful photo, are we seeing things from a Walnut Creek vantage point?
It’s hard to tell where this photo was taken, but if it’s from the Concord/Clayton area, Mt. Zion would be out of frame on the far right. Mt Zion is the mountain that is slowly being consumed by the gravel quarries on either side.

Thanks, VintageNoize….so you think that might be Mitchell Canyon we are seeing roughly at center?
This is an angle, location, or side I’m not accustomed to seeing. From my POV Mt. Zion is no more.
Snowed in the Livermore Hills today, too.
For all of the ills our area has and is experiencing this is still such a beautiful area. We are lucky indeed.
Seeing that overgrown hill covered in snow makes me miss Mount San Antonio, a real mountain.
Antler, no I don’t think it’s Mitchell Canyon. I’m guessing more around the Morgan Territory Road area off Marsh Creek Road.
