I guess CPD hasn’t received a grant to stop vehicle burglaries yet…

The city has hundred of miles of streets.

Grants for drunk driving and traffic enforcement ‘work’, because they can focus on well-trafficked streets… exactly the kinds of streets vehicle burglaries don’t tend to happen on.

How many cops do you think it might take to cover hundreds of miles of streets, in order to catch one of the three (on average) vehicle burglaries that happen on any given day? How big a grant (for how long) are we looking at?

Note: that comes to one burglary every 8 hours, figuring a 24-hour day… somewhere on hundreds of miles of streets.

I’m sure they’ll get right on it if there is a grant.
Just like the Tinted Windshields that they pass by and DO NOTHING because they ” don’t have the resources “……that’s what I was told when I inquired.

Hey, Cal!
They get one drunk driver on their focused grant. Do you think there is only one drunk driver each night?
Yea, that grant works.
How about we take how many miles of road and hire enough cops to patrol around instead of sitting in the Morman church parking lot or wherever they hide instead?
How about some management of resources?
One burglary an hour is ridiculous and should be unacceptable.

Gotta be the all time record.

Would like Concord PD to publish names and offenses so we can see if they are doing their job.

Maybe they are, and it’s “catch and release” from the arrest right up to the courtroom.

Maybe need to call in the Feds. Could use some help at Sun Valley.

Where are the decoys? Walnut Creek uses them and actually caught some perps last week.

CPD does the best job they can, with the resources they have. Vehicle burgs are very difficult to catch, it requires the help of the public. 108RS is 10-8.

Sadly, Stoneridge Mall has an underbelly also. We had a smash and grab there over a jacket. They broke our window over a jacket……….

The West side of the Stoneridge parking lot is especially vulnerable. One turn out of the lot, right onto Foothill Blvd, and right onto highway 580. They are gone in seconds.
