ALERT – MISSING PERSON – AT RISK
Concord Police are searching for a missing man.
William Findley lives in a residential care home on Whitman Rd. and was seen yesterday around 6 p.m. bbefore going to bed. Today, employees went into his room around 8 a.m. and discovered he and his dog, Eli, were missing.
Findley has dementia other health issues that require medication.
Findley is 80-years-old and is believed to be wearing a tan baseball cap, blue jacket, and jeans.
If you see Findley or his dog please call the Concord Police Department at 925-671-3333 or 911.
UPDATE: Both were located in Antioch, and both are safe.
you know I was driving behind an ambulance like an 1 or 2 ago and inside I saw an elderly man that looked a lot like this man. I could be wrong but they did look similar.
What an adorable looking pair. I hope they’re holed up somewhere safe and warm. I’ll be praying with my eyes peeled.
Note to self: Don’t send mom to the home on Whitman Road.
The smart ones try to escape no matter which home you put them in because they are cruel and unusual punishment parading as care for the elderly.
I think these scent kits would be valuable tool
to help find the missing elderly or kids too.

That is an absolutely brilliant idea. If I was in charge of a memory care facility or any children I would sure consider it, or perhaps a DIY version. You probably just need an item of recently used clothing.
Earlier this evening I saw a man who was wearing clothes like the ones described here by Costco in concord. Hope he’s found safely!

Praying he is found safe, looked for him in Carriage Square last night as we walked the dogs. Concord should activate CERT, boots on the ground.

As of this posting time stamp, he’s still missing. It’s a state wide “Silver Alert” for him.
UPDATE – as of 6pm on Saturday, December 21, William is STILL missing! Search & Rescue is canvasing the area and asking people to inspect their properties for any signs of him! Please do go and take a flashlight round your properties! If you see William or his dog, do NOT approach them (he can get agitated) but DO call either Concord PD or the Sheriff’s office! Let’s bring this poor man home!
Please help us find Bill he is still missing and he has loved ones missing him.

So Glad he was found safe, but not sure how he got to Antioch, Since his care facility is near Costco in Concord. We may never know
