so, looking at the various clayton police reports for some time now, I have to wonder if clayton is a boring place to work for someone who wants to be a cop?

Clayton is home to dedicated Police who make a difference in our town.
Make it a point to warm up the car early each morning, with just parking lights on, before setting off for work. Four times in past couple years Clayton officers out on patrol have stooped to see what’s up.

Most recent, last week, officer drove past turned left an used spotlight checking vehicles then made U turn and came back to check. Turned on my dome light and informed officer was just warming up the car and told him Thank You.

Feel very fortunate to have Police officers who care enough to take the time to check.

That’s nice. I too like that stuff, but… They gotta get bored….

I would much rather the police run checks on running cars and get bored, than get shot at. I’m sure they would too if you asked them.

Salty here..

Clayton P.D. does an excellent job patrolling our community keeping us safe. To think otherwise is pretty ignorant. These officers are constantly making themselves seen and engaging the citizens.

Be thankful we have a safe community. Remember 1 thing. “They get paid for what they MIGHT HAVE TO DO”. They put on uniforms and duty belts just the same as any city law enforcement officers. So before you criticize the lack of violence they deal with. Remember they put their lives on the line daily so we can enjoy our SAFE city.

Thank You Clayton P.D. Keep doing what you do and be safe..

SALTY OUT!!

As a 42 year resident of Clayton: Ditto!

I agree Salty. Been in Clayton many years. Have had alarm go off when gone and police responded and checked house . They are a small but dedicated force who are here for us when needed.

Salty here..

Sure miss Officer White and Sgt. England. But the new officers have stepped right in and been fantastic. They do such a good job bringing in the right people to fit our town..

Salty OUT!!
