A 45-year-old man shot to death Wednesday afternoon on Robin Lane in Concord has been identified as Harold Reed III, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.
Investigators say Reed was driving his vehicle when he suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. This came after an argument with the shooter, who opened fire from the sidewalk.
Reed was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead, according to police.
Cpl. David Petty, a spokesman for the Concord Police Department, said no arrests have been made in connection with Reed’s death and investigators are not releasing any new information to the public at this time.
O Lovely! Da Hood’s comin’ to Concord
Speculation: The deceased driver did something that angered the armed pedestrian and he/she decided to open fire.
What a scary thought to think people can get full of rage and shoot that person they do not even know. So all these people have guns on them. Yikes. Better not step on any toes out there.
They, plus the folks in Orinda, were just adding credibility to the claims that an armed society is a polite society plus that guns make people safer.
@WC… I sure hope that is sarcasm. Hard to tell in this type of forum, but I will assume it is.
I personally knew Harold. The shooter had an argument with another person. He was an wrongfully shot at & died. Prior to that he wasn’t even on the scene when the argument started. I hope CPD catches the shooters. RIP Harold, you’ll be missed.
I speculate cocaine should be the focus. Argument… argument over drug money!
