Concord resident Preston Brumley was arrested today for possession of child pornography, according to the Concord Police Department.
Brumley volunteers with children in the community, police said.
If you think Brumley has had any type of inappropriate contact with your child, please call police at 925-671-3333.
Concord Police did not release any further information.

Most of CPD’s arrests come from them doing mostly computer investigations these days,and although this is a good arrest,they are unable to arrest the car burglars and arsonists running around using computer work,so it just never happens.They go around Concord all day banging on the door of people that they found a phone # used to open a Facebook account that doesn’t match the Facebook screen name and try to arrest them for “false impersonation”.They know youll just pay a fine and get probation and that’s what they are after.No real and visible problems are dealt with,esp the homeless.
The police aren’t arresting a lot of criminals because they know that most of these cases will not be prosecuted if they’re not felonies. And even then, unless the evidence is iron-clad, many people get away with felonies as well.
Poor idiot should’ve covered his face obviously you don’t need to let the police take a picture of you before you get into the police car dummy. I don’t think anyone should be tortured physically for looking at pictures of children at the same time it’s completely disgusting and yes they do need to go to prison to realize they’re disgusting outcasts and that is not socially acceptable. If the Goodfellas at West County Jail in Richmond deem that is necessary that this guy get the crap beat out of them then so be it

One he will go to protective custody so unfortunately no one will get to beat the crap out of him most likely and 2 ya people who view pictures of kids should be punished and physically tortured SURE why not sounds like a great idea.

Obviously, the children in the pictures he was looking at were being horrifically tortured. They will not be feeling ok now or later in life. Who knows what other kinds of punishments those kids suffer, if you had to hear those stories you would cry. That’s the kind of suffering you are promoting when you watch that sick crap. You are allowing more children to be tortured because that creep is giving them the business to continue to do so. He should also know torture, since he liked to help create it.

Only in a court of law. Where jurors have been sworn. To believe that someone who has been arrested is really “innocent” every time he’s arrested is saying that law enforcement consistently gets it wrong. I don’t believe that. He’s only innocent if he didn’t do it.
That line works great for getting out of jury duty also. Well your honor, if the police arrested them, they are guilty. I mean why would the police arrest an innocent person? Gets you dismissed every-time!

What if this guy turns out to be innocent but now has his picture plastered in the most incriminating manner.
Three years from now, when this case goes to trial, nobody will even remember.
the pic is allowed under public records act… might it be important to publish the pic to help find other victims who may need help???
S – That’s my point. It shouldn’t be allowed under the public records act. Especially to solicit people to say they were victims. Of course, the people coming forward are going to have the same story since the police & media published the initial story & now they’re copying it.
Many scenarios can happen such that a spouse is angry during the divorce & makes up an allegation to get custody of the kids. Or a jilted boyfriend/ girlfriend makes a false accusation because they were dumped.
Defendant’s identity should be protected the same way sex-victim’s identities are shielded from the public. Their identities should be saved for the jury.

After working in Antioch where the police never show up when you call Concord PD responds fast. We are lucky to have such a great Police Department.
