A 24-year-old Pleasant Hill man has been arrested in connection with multiple incidents of arson at Pleasant Hill Elementary, according to police.
On the mornings of Thursday Oct.17 and Friday Oct.18, Pleasant Hill Police Officers were called on to investigate eight counts of arson in the early morning hours.
Damage was sustained in several areas, including school structures and a residential fence bordering the campus.
The investigation led to review of surveillance footage and other evidence on the campus.
A suspect was identified as Jason Allen, according to police. Allen was contacted by officers and ultimately arrested for his suspected involvement. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on Friday.
Local residents with surveillance cameras are encouraged to review their early morning footage for both days, should they live close to the campus or along Vessing Rd., where the suspect may have traveled to access the school campus.
