Five people were arrested in connection to a Sept. 13 “grab-and-run” theft at the Lululemon store in Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek, police said Saturday.
A vigilant citizen witness had given police a description of a vehicle that fled the scene after the theft, which police said involved $7,600 in merchandise from the Lululemon store. The same vehicle had been involved in a $4,000 theft from the same store a week earlier, according to police.
The Walnut Creek Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team located the vehicle and the five suspects at a gas station in Antioch. Unique Evans, Samir Gray, Dewayne Harris, Erynn Chavis and a juvenile out of Antioch were arrested on suspicion grand theft, burglary and conspiracy.

I’m certain all five were working hard to get their lives together.
Does anyone understand the attraction to that bland merchandise?
Do these fools sell it on the internet or street? Is it a Gang initiation? Do they give it to the less fortunate? or just get a high from running out the doors?
I dont get the draw of this brand at all. But to answer your question they resell the items online or to people who will pay a % of the price and return for store credit.
Good job Walnut Creek PD , this is an organization and not just a random theft case . I hope they get prosecuted , excellent job
If at first you succeed go back to the scene of the crime and repeat o everyone will get a better look at you.
I hope they go away for a long, long time. But why would you steal that cheap, ugly stuff from that store?
That “cheap, ugly stuff” is very expensive.
$58.00 for a “Basic” men’s T shirt. $98.00 for long sleeve T shirt. Jackets, mens and women’s, $228.00 and up. Specialty wicking and tech fabrics, etc. I think someone here on Claycord said they were re-selling them at flea markets.

Targeting high income earners who spend frivolously on egoware. And who maybe 5 years from now when possibly unemployed wished they hadn’t. 🙂
Cheap as in cheaply made.
Thank you for the compliment.
I believe the stuff LOOKS cheap. Just another lame fad, People will look back one day and wonder what they were thinking wearing those clothes.
everyone’s pretending to be an Athlete these days ;(
This “cheap ugly fad brand” went from a $40 stock 4 years ago to being almost $200 today. So thanks to this “cheap ugly fad” Im buying myself a new Benz next month!
About time some of these thieves were, at the very least, arrested. I don’t expect anything more will happen to them.
Gots to supplement welfare income
So true. Police should check Craigslist to see who is selling brand new clothes for cheap
Is the juvenile related to one of the four adults or just an acquaintance? Family business?
thanks WCPD! absolutely NO THANKS prop 47
The Democrats are telling them everything should be FREE, they just got an early start!
Lock them up !
Great job catching these thieves. The product is overpriced and not attractive so what is the draw? The name? The fabric? It doesn’t really matter anyway..just glad they were caught!
No way, really??
Five armloads of clothing = $7,600.
That just about sums up Lululemon.
Lululemon is ridiculously overpriced polyester. Ignorant, insecure people buy it because, “its the fashion.”
so. I have to admit I’ve not heard of Lululemon… Checked their website… Found this rather humorous how they decribe the clothes: “…and most other sweaty pursuits.”
Take them out to the Wood Shed.
What does race have to do with anything?
If you were told to look for for a white perp, would you look for a black one? Of course you would…
Race was one of the specific descriptors for the group being looked for, therefore relevant…
“What does race have to do with anything?”
Nothing, unless statistics show that a race commits crimes at a rate disproportionate to that race’s percentage of the population. Then some facts need to be acknowledged.
Good job WCPD. I am so tired of thieves getting away with
these crimes. Ross in WC told me they have people taking their merchandise and they cannot do anything about it. The clerk told me they do that almost every night. Grrrrrrrr. Not fair.
Ross has security at front…. What do they do? Polish their toenails?
Wondering, . . . how many GEDs or high school diplomas between them and how many might have already been on probation ? ? ?
No surprise on license plate reading camera placement near several fast food “restaurants” on same street in antioch. Back in late 1970s was a nice town to buy a house and raise a family . . .
Give the witness who described the get a way car a big reward! I watched a grab and run at Macy’s, but was too slow/surprised to react. May be the same group. No way to start a life.
Bad upbringing. Family should be mortified and ashamed that they raised thieves.
That is one pathetic, sorry looking bunch. The likelihood of any of them changing their life path is probably quite remote. But as Ty Webb said in Caddyshack, “The world needs ditch diggers too”.
That was Judge Smails, not stoopid Ty Web.
Glad they caught these low life perps. Would bet they all have rap sheets already, just look at their smirks.
Nice work WCPD! Word should be getting around by now that they aren’t going to get away with this kind of nonsense in Walnut Creek.
I love the one thats smiling, she clearly regrets doing it.
Hello! The two women have been on Claycord several times, the lower of the two being a frequent flyer! Goes to show how California penalties, and jail time if they get it, influences their behavior. Great job electorate! You national recruitment for criminals is working. Come to California and get a free ride on crime! She and her cohorts are probably already out continuing their shenanigans.
Great work WCPD ! But, they’ll be out of MDF in a few hours and no jail or prison time, back to WC for more goods. 108RS
All four wearing hoodies. No doubt this is not the only place they hit. I hope they are given a sufficient amount of time in stony lonesome.
notice how there’s not photos of them on contra costa times. this politically correct world we live is a trip.
Pathetic. They all have a history and this is their “job”.
I looked up the weather for Sept 13th and it was 90 degrees……hoodies should be the red flag just like banks ask you to remove your sunglasses.
BTW, Lululemon needs to demand that WCPD get search warrants to recover more of their goods.
Not taking this any further only encourages others.
Don’t support them! I cancelled my subscription years ago.
I hope they also charge the adults with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
How do you catch a thief ? Unique up on them at a gas station in Antioch
