The people that need it the most, probably can’t afford tot waste money on texting and Apps with fixed incomes.
I’m sure it’s all free.
What a great way to make sure non citizens are voting.,The worst idea in history.
Will they ask for ID on the app? This is a liberal creation.
Good afternoon Jon,
Just to clarify, the texting feature is for those who have already registered to vote and wish to switch from being a polling place voter to getting their ballot by mail.
Contra Costa voters have always had the opportunity to switch their preference of voting method from in-person to by mail. We just created this texting feature because so many of us use our smartphones and we want to make our services as easy as possible for all residents to use.
It’s not a liberal creation; it’s a customer service resource.

Well done sir. 😉
Careful Atticus! …. you might be #6
I believe AT qualifies for # 1.It matches his IQ.
Hmm, not much info there but are they talking about vote by mail which has been available for some time and just adding a texting method to sign up for it?
The Primary would be the next election and it’s next year though earlier than before.
The Primary Election is on March 3, 2020, with those who want their ballots at home receiving them in early February.
So, it’s a few months away, but if folks are interested in this option, we would prefer that they let me know now. It’s kind of like asking for RSVPs when you;re planning a party or event.
Thanks, Paul
