Date is bad. Inundated with client tax returns, and my own, due the 15th. But I do appreciate what you are doing. Sorry I can’t help this year. Mary Fouts

We go up to the old pioneer cemetery for the Fall cleanup
There’s one in the Spring too.

Bring your own rake and a stiff brush to clean up the stones.
Garbage bags are provided for free, but bring your own to help share costs.
The folks who have their people buried across the street at St Catherine’s are usually there on the same day for their Fall cleanup as well.

There is rich local history at the Alhambra Cemetery.
Joseph Walker for one. Fremont’s scout and Mountain Man.

As Kit Carson chose Taos, Walker chose Walnut Creek.

The local schools could have their kids help out for a day.
Might make them curious about Claycord and surroundings.
It’s a beautiful setting above the town of Martinez.

That sounds pretty fabulous to me.
