UPDATE: A pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle, Clayton police said.
The crash was reported about 8:30 p.m. in the area of Clayton Road and Lydia Lane.
The driver remained on scene and was cooperating with the investigation. Police said the investigation is ongoing, and drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision.
