An attempted residential burglary occurred in Walnut Creek on Aleman Ct. on Sept.18.
The residence had a Ring doorbell that captured a suspicious male in the front of the home just after 11 a.m.
The male is described as White or Hispanic, late teens early 20s and was wearing a dark colored sweater,jeans, and a grey backpack.
If you saw anyone matching that description in the area, have them on camera, or can provide any additional details please contact the Walnut Creek Police Department.
Why does it look like a kid in front of an aquarium?
Definitely not a good advert for Ring video doorbells. Nest on the other hand will record continuously. Guess which one I have?
Have to chalk this up to useless.

Does anyone know of a simple security camera that is easy to install that takes great photos?

If he came to the door post his face picture, as he would of had to walk up the pathway towards the camera, this is totally useless in helping find him.
He looks like a student at my school. Wait, he looks like a lot of students at any school.

I love my KUNA camera, build into the front porch light at my door.
Captures great video and sends me alerts every time someone is at my door.
Also its very discreet, cannot notice it like the RING doorbell.

I can’t even tell what race this person is… looks to be either a male or a very unfortunate female… I’ll keep my eye out for a (blue?) backpack with 2 pockets and a little light colored tag (the tag probably has the perp’s name and address “If found please return to L.Oser @ 123 Loser L. ).

Ring is crap and the crooks know it all we ever get is a picture of the person walking away and the quality is so bad it does nothing. We are looking at the nest cameras the have much better resolution and record the person walking up to your house so you get a much better picture.
