All 2,746 PG&E customers affected by a Saturday night power outage in Walnut Creek are back on-line, according to PG&E.

PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said downed power lines near the intersection of Artubus and Lilac Drives south of downtown created the outage shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. It wasn’t known Saturday night why the wires
came down, he said.

It took only 12 minutes to restore power for the first 1,101 customers, and the rest had power again by 10 p.m., Guidi said.

Much of downtown Walnut Creek was affected by the outage, as were residential neighborhoods in the Saranap and Walnut Heights areas.
