Kitchen fire?

Smelled that distinct smoke smell from a Structure fire up CC Blvd near Ace. Doesn’t bring up good memories. Glad no one was hurt, and hope not too much was lost for the units affected.

Smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, and for people in upstairs units, consider collapsible fire ladders. You may not be able to get to your front door. I almost didn’t. Fire safe for critical documents, and document your possessions for insurance purposes. Pictures of your valuables will be of great help once the claims process starts. Cloud storage is good to keep that info available if you lose your local storage.

Thank you Confire, you guys are outstanding.

The problem is some people who live in the second floor or above have windows that are almost head high, like me. It would be hard to climb up that far in a quick fire. So collapsible ladders won’t do that much.

So thankful no one was hurt or killed. As @Wage Slave says, I cannot stress enough the importance of working smoke alarms and fire extinguishers in a home. And keep the extinguishers throughout the entire home and garage area in very visible locations. It’s fashionable! In the event of a fire, you won’t remember where the extinguisher is if hidden from view.

Very good advice and a Carbon Monoxide detector too.
