I don’t see any comments from the folks who complain about the checkpoints, saying the police would catch way more DUI drivers by driving around looking for them. I wonder why that is?

I don’t really care “why” there are no comments, I’m just happy not to see them.
Big Word Alert, Claycordians: I think this panacea people think we expect around here is laughable. No police department is perfect, but at least they are trying.

I don’t wonder why that is…it wasn’t a checkpoint.

Good job CPD! One less drunk to worry about.

If the police really cared about public safety they would stop all the drunk drivers leaving willow pass park after the softball games. Then you would see the number of DUI’s go from 1 to 50. Signs posted at the park say no drinking or smoking the rules just don’t apply during softball. You can bet the Homeless get open container violations if they are caught drinking in the park.

CPD, like every other police department in the state is handcuffed, pun intended, by the liberal elected officials. Watch for a mass exodus from departments do to the new shooting law. Oh, I arrested 23 people in one day, it can be done, one for 187 PC. 108RS
