A Contra Costa County grand jury indictment was unsealed this week against defendant William Cashell, a 44-year-old resident of Walnut Creek. He was indicted for two counts of possession of child pornography.

Cashell pleaded not guilty to the charges alleged in the indictment.

On May 2, 2019, investigators from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a warrant at Cashell’s residence after it was discovered he was storing child pornography in his e-mail account, according to prosecutors.

Investigators also located child pornography on a smartphone belonging to Cashell, prosecutors said.

Cashell was initially charged in a criminal complaint on June 11, 2019 and remained at large until July 20, 2019 when he was arrested in Johnson County, Kansas and extradited back to Contra Costa County.

Cashell remains out of custody on his own recognizance.

I am at a loss to understand this whole child porn thing – in fact – the entire subject is a mystery to me. I doubt I have ever seen it – if I did – I certainly wouldn’t look at it because the subject is so perverted – but when it comes to perversion there’s no limit to man’s sick mind – let’s face it – but I wonder if the justice system is handling sex crimes really effectively – and I also wonder if sex crimes should be separated from the justice system entirely – for example – this Epstein matter – to me it just seems so silly and such a waste of time – the women involved I think have absolutely no credibility at all – it all happened so look ago and they were hardly abused – in fact they were treated like queens so I think in this case it’s all about moony – how much they can get from the Epstein estate which now it seems belongs to his brother – poor guy!

I always wondered how much the government goes snooping through citizens’ computers Or monitors phone traffic

Never mind the government, your local tv news station can’t seem to mind their own business. The ones with “Apps” can track users everywhere they go on the web, gathering information. It’s how they target ads. I know for a fact they can see a smartphone screen in realtime with remote access software which is readily available to any dumbbell on the web. With drive-by downloads, one could actually be framed for almost any crime without even knowing about it. It would take some serious forensics and a truckload of money for legal representation to prove innocence.

A unique writing style to be sure, but “buy” some punctuation. Its use assists readers and increases understanding of your points.

It’s called “stream of consciousness” and is a literary style that has been used by many writers.
