DIRTY DINING: Cafe 19th Hole At Buchanan Field Golf Course Closed Due To 30+ Cockroach Egg Cases, Dead Rodents

Cafe 19th Hole, located at Buchanan Field Golf Course on Concord Ave. in Concord, was closed this week after inspectors from the Contra Costa County Health Department say they found the following.

30+ cockroach egg cases in the following areas:

  • Floor underneath the food preparation table
  • Floor underneath the 3 compartment sink
  • Floor underneath the food preparation tables in the back kitchen
  • Floor underneath the stove
  • Floor by 3 door refrigerator across from cook line
  • Floor across from food preparation sink

3 dead rodent carcasses in the following areas:

  • On the floor next to the kitchen stove
  • On the floor next to three door refrigerator

The restaurant has since been reinspected and reopened.

That’s extreme! Whoever runs that, or should I say d meant run that kitchen needs fired as well as who’s above him. That wasn’t managing his people.
Love this new program! You’d think by now every kitchen would get on the ball.

I take it you don’t approve of the part time teenagers they hire to run and oversee things. I wonder how far up the chain goes until we reach an adult. I was going to say responsible adult but obviously there isn’t one. No one is overseeing that duties are performed.

I’d say that’s 3 cockroaches over par.

I heard the cockroaches were looking around the caddie for a sand wedge.

My golf game is a lot like the cleanliness of the cafe prior to closing… below par.

I say bring your own liquid lunch. Just like Bowling the more you drink the funner it is.
