A heat advisory that the National Weather Service issued remains in effect until 8 p.m. today as temperatures climb to the 90s and 100s in parts of the Bay Area.
Temperatures across the interior of the region will range from 95 to 107 degrees, according to weather officials.
The heat advisory applies to North Bay and East Bay mountains and valleys, interior Monterey County, Southern Salinas Valley, Santa Clara Valley, and inland cities.
Air quality will be poor as a result of the high temperatures, according to the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, which has issued a ‘Spare the Air’ alert for today.
Spare the Air alerts are issued when ozone pollution is forecast to reach unhealthy levels.

So much for climate change!
I believe you left off the word “deniers”.
Oh no John, they’ll always be with us, claiming that back in the Fifties Fisherman’s Wharf used to flood regularly and that Santa Clara never actually existed.
GAS Leaf blowing still goes on regardless.

Nuclear power sounds pretty good today, doesnt it?
Brilliant idea. Let’s check with the folks in Fukushima and Chernobyl first, just to make sure nuclear power doesn’t have any negative effects. I think I’d rather have a house at 97 degrees for most of the day than a radioactivity level equivalent to 100K x-rays per minute.
