The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for today and Thursday for the interior regions of the Bay Area.
The heat advisory applies to the North Bay valleys, North Bay mountains, East Bay valleys, and East Bay mountains as well as the Santa Clara Valley from 11 a.m. today to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Temperatures will continue to rise in inland areas as pressure from the east continues to build over Southern California, weather officials said.
Areas in the North Bay and East Bay mountains and valleys should prepare for temperatures into the 100s, while Santa Clara County can expect highs in the 90s.
Onshore flow and a shallow marine layer will moderate temperatures near the coast, with some low clouds in the morning and night, according to weather officials.
Temperatures will peak on Wednesday and then cool slightly on Friday as low atmospheric pressure sinks down the Pacific coast.

Backyard weather station in south PH: High temp today of 104.5*. Low of 57.4*. Median temp of 80.5*. 82.8* now at 8:35 PM. Have central AC running now to cool the home’s core interior. Hopefully will be able to shut it off in a couple of hours if it cools off, and nighttime breezes come up. As they did last night. Turned out to be great sleeping weather last night. Fingers crossed.

Yikes! It may be hotter today!
No air conditioning, but plenty of trees and fans. It got to 85 in the house around 8:30 pm. Kept the fans running all night.
I guess I will have to start writing it down again.
