UPDATE: Fire On Marsh Creek Rd. East Of Clayton Now 75-Percent Contained

The 655 acre fire on Marsh Creek Rd. east of Clayton is now 75-percent contained, according to Cal Fire.

The blaze, which started just after 3 a.m. today, is being battled by 300 firefighters.

Marsh Creek Rd. between Morgan Territory Rd. and Brentwood remains closed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

UPDATE: The road has re-opened.

UPDATE: The road was re-closed at 7 a.m. today.

Just came from checking if Marsh Creek is open. It is NOT. It is now closed at the jail.

Just driving home from Brentwood . Marsh creek closed from Morgan Territory to deer valley.

So tired of it’s open or it’s not. Can Claycord please give us an update?
