An excessive heat watch has been issued from 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 p.m. Sunday for inland portions of the San Francisco Bay Area and Central California.
Widespread high temperatures up to 105 degrees are likely across inland areas, including Contra Costa County.
Sensitive populations such as the elderly, infants, and those without access to air conditioning will likely be susceptible to heat related illnesses.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check on relatives, friends and neighbors.
Good luck to all the swimmers at this weekend’s City Meet. Stay hydrated kids!
What a weekend for city meet! HOT! But they will be swimming so it will be okay – still everyone needs to stay hydrated.
Brings back many happy memories of all my city meets through the 80’s and 90’s (though back then they were at our own swim club – Springwood)!
Have fun everyone!
All things considered, it’s better then living in France.
I work outside in it every summer. Drink water. Its been like this for forty years since I was a kid. Now they say stay in the A/C. Just use your head. All good.
Well….. it sure cooled off tonight… nice breeze.
I have the windows open.
Enjoying it while I can.
