Boy she really must be an alcoholic if she starts drinking when she wakes up before work. Most people don’t drink until the evening.

She’s carrying on the Jim Beam family tradition.

You can’t drink all day unless you start in the morning.

I’m guessing she’d been drinking most of the night and early morning!

Used to work with Billie… sad this happened…

Must be related to Jim Beam.

Billie Jean Beam? Awesome!!!!!

People always told me, be careful what you do [dah!]
And don’t drive around drunk in these parts (heeee)
And mother always told me, be careful when you drive
Be careful what you do, ‘cause driving drunk makes you a fool (hey-hey-hey)

LOLOL!! I totally sang this in my head!!

Billie Jean is not my driver!

Mimi (original)- You are too funny!

Don’t the bars in San Francisco stay open until 4AM now???????

Jerry Brown vetoed the bill.

All these comments. too funny ! love it.

I can’t believe how many people make jokes about this and think it’s funny!! That makes me sick! Maybe that’s why so many people still driink and drive they think it’s a joke ! If y
There were workers out they would’ve killed someone

I sincerely doubt anyone thinks DUI is funny, Debbie. The fact of the matter is, selfish, foolish, often times unrepentant people that don’t (really) care about us and have no regard for their safety or others will break the law and think they’re ok to drive when they’re not. It’s a very unfortunate thing, and if people were making jokes about someone that was injured, killed, or even narrowly missed because of this incident, it would be totally unacceptable. However, no one was injured, the driver is in custody (hopefully will be punished accordingly), and joking about said person’s name is not condoning DUI or excusing the person’s behavior. People that are going to drive drunk think they’re smooth criminals, and will drive drunk, irrespective of what a few people on an internet forum say, or even if society at large were to somehow think DUI is funny. Thinking it’s funny is the farthest thing from a person’s mind when they choose to be foolish and drive drunk. The key is parents need to raise their kids rights, so hopefully they don’t make Bad decisions as adults. Some will still succumb to their human nature, and that’s what consequences are for. I think the first time someone gets a DUI, they should lose their license for a very long time, but the powers-that-be don’t seem very interested in making things very difficult for first-time offenders (it really is black or white). There is no good reason to ever drive drunk, so there shouldn’t be a lenient penalty for doing so. Sha’mon now. [I am serious, though, even though I couldn’t resist a little more humor that is non nocere]

@Debbie lokx
It seems you are so upset at people’s comments that you can’t even write correctly.

No one thinks this is funny, but what can we do when the liberal politicians refuse to punish people for a horrible crime like this? She will get a slap on the wrist and be right back at it, likely to end up killing someone.

I love it when drunks run into something and they only get a bump or scrape and their car gets wrecked and no one else is involved.

That way you can sell them a car, right Rick?

Rode by this at 515ish this morning and first thought was she was blasted. Saw her talking with the CHP officer and figured how did a car get into the section with out impairment. Glad nobody was hurt and she is off the road for now…

Is this the first accident since they started the work on 4? I haven’t heard of any others. I drive that section occasionally to get from one part of Concord to another, and no one seems to obey the 55 speed limit in the zone. The K-rails make it tight, yet so many idiots continue to drive 70+.

There have been accidents where N-680 merges on to Hwy 4 east. The merge is very very short. If no one yields two or more cars can collide there. I hope no one gets killed.

California Doesn’t Have A Speed Limit , The Speed Limit Is As Fast As You Can Go . When Driving Around Town I Feel Like I’m The Only One That Makes A Full Stop At Lights And Stop Signs . I Worked Out On The Freeways At Night For Years Saw This Offen .Y’all Stay Safe Out There .

If the driver gets a double-fine it’s really going to hurt! Does that include double the time in jail?

Glad the workers weren’t on the job yet.

Did Weiner’s bill to keep the bars open until 4:00 AM pass? If so, this could become a common occurrence at that hour.
