Side note: I know that some vehicles have remote starters and can run A/C without a human inside the car. Just double check before you start smashing windows to save dogs in cars.
Thinking the same thing. Some dogs are just nervous. So they will pant heavy. Of course it’s one thing if it’s a hot day. But let’s not start smashing windows just because a dog is panting.

From what I understand Tesla’s have ‘doggie mode’, or something like that. The vehicle will be kept cool while your best friend is inside. The large ipad looking control screen will display in large letters ‘I am in doggie mode’ letting people know not to break the window. Pretty clever of Tesla I’d say.
Yes I read about that. This should be a common feature for all cars. I have a Subaru with a remote start engine that runs for 10 minutes.

I do not agree with leaving dogs in a hot car but I have to say that if the Bay Area was a dog friendly place we would see less people leaving their dogs inside their cars. Dogs are cleaner and better behaved than most people here.
