unbelievable

REALLY ??? – SURPRISED IT IS NOT MORE

being sarcastic, but… that’s an average of 22 to 23 per county. Contra Costa isn’t even in the top 5 in population, so 15 is a pretty good stat…

Oh my…34%. Who the heck doesn’t wear their seat belt nowadays. Unbelievable!

Teenagers.

What is 34% of 32?

Is somebody only partly dead?

they rounded up for effect…

Really you can’t figure this out?

11 out of 32 equals 34.375% and rounded comes to 34%.

Sad…. rounding down somebody’s death …. being reduced to a statistic is bad enough.
Couldn’t the CHP just say 11?

JWB ~ Look Up
It isn’t a matter of my ability to do the math…I just wanted to be sure there wasn’t somebody out there thats’ .625 % dead.

It’s very sad people have to lose their lives because they don’t fasten their seat belts. There is a lot of people who either refuse or forget to fasten your seat belts. It is the responsibility of the driver to make sure everyone is buckled up. I see so many people without their seatbelts on and I even see kids standing up in the backseat of their parents cars and toddlers that are not in car seats. A lot of People that use ride services such as Uber and Lyft Don’t even buckle up when they get into the car.

66% were wearing seat belts…that is the telling statistic. I fully support wearing seat belts but they won’t save your life if you drive like an idiot.

Exactly, there’s no cure for reckless behavior

More like stupidity

A few months back I got into the car with an old college buddy who is now a highly educated and successful lawyer, he was driving. After a few minutes I noticed he was not wearing a seatbelt. I had to give him a hard time until he finally gave in and put it on. Couldn’t believe his level of ignorance and resistance to wearing the darn thing, and he lives in LA. If there is ever a place to wear a seatbelt, it is SoCal!

the word is: “successful lawyer,”
I worked for many over 40 years –they are the law
make boatloads of money & above you & the law–get a clue

Anyone can get out of a ticket. I just meant from a safety standpoint… you can’t litigate your way out of a mangled car wreck.

Well well well…Now who said seatbelts don’t save lives.

the other 21 dead people??
