The man killed Friday in Pacheco has been identified as 29-year-old Erick Ousey.

Sheriff’s deputies were called shortly after noon Friday to a report of a man lying on the sidewalk in the 5900 block of Pacheco Boulevard, near Paddock Bowl and the California Grand Casino.

Pleasant Hill police officers arrived first and performed CPR on Ousey, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect in Ousey’s killing, 41-year-old Aaron Goode, was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday at the Concord BART station and was booked into the County Jail in Martinez on suspicion of murder, in lieu of $1 million bail.

The suspect and the victim knew each other, according to authorities.

As of Saturday afternoon investigators were still trying to determine a specific motive for the killing.

hope this guy gets death penalty, why he kill this guy,we wore born to enjoy life not to take others peoples life this is totally wrong,

Thanks to Gavin Newsome, California no longer has the death penalty. We will only get it back if a future governor reinstates it.
Gavin Newsome doesn’t care what the voters want, he thinks he is above us.

What’s the difference? They just keep filing appeals until most of the monsters die of old age.

Last execution in California was Clarence Ray Allen on Jan. 17, 2006, at the age of 76 after 22 years on Death Row.

737 remain awaiting execution.

California hasn’t used the death penalty since 2006. Stop acting like this is new. Republican Arnold was the governor during that time. Stop trying to act like there’s been ineptness in only one area.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Newsom eliminated the death penalty per se. He just suspended executions under his administration. Cnvictions can still include the death penalty. They just won’t be executed as long as he is Governor … which is a good reason to vote him out at the first opportunity … or recall him even sooner for making promises to the voters to get elected that he had no intention of keeping.

What was he doing out of prison? He stabbed a clerk at 7-11 – in 2015. Do only bank robbers, tax evaders and drug dealers do serious time? WTF!

You have no clue what the liberals have done & the voters also — Prop 47, AB 109, etc. We are in trouble & the law is a joke.

Our Justice System is Trash!

The death penalty is not punishment it’s an easy way out. Life in prison without the possibility of parole that there’s punishment. My brother is in president in life is not pretty in there

It is not designed to be pretty- what is he in for ??? he probably deserves what he got..you play..you pay..the laws are in place for a reason…..

I wholeheartedly agree. A nice easy death is much more than these kind of offenders deserve. The death penalty prisoners end up costing us a lot more money too. I’d rather they live locked up indefinitely and leave only in body bags.

An interesting character. I am wondering what led up to the incident. My condolences to his family. It’s tragic when someone so young is killed.

Im not behind cover
Step up fools we gonna all die

Go ahead and lay down and die, most of us are fighters and love life. Go somewhere else and piss and moan.

This is where I am confused.

There are two people on Facebook calling themselves by that name in Pacheco. Both white dudes, about that age, wannabe rappers.

Not sure which one is which. Maybe they’re brothers?

What an absolute tool!! Lol

He’ll be gettin’ some good lovin’ in prison!

Ven, Erick was the victim, not the killer.
