Aww rats!
So, how many tries does a restaurant get to cause a health risk? Two is too many; they should be permanently closed.
Especially, ya know… Twice in a month…
It use to be our favorite place to go back in the day. Service and food had gone down hill and we quit going.
Best to eat at home. Lots of reasons.
“Waiter? Could I have some more of those little chocolate sprinkles on my dinner?”
🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢
Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for
With a friend to call my own
I’ll never be alone, and you, my friend, will see
You’ve got a friend in me
Classic
I work for a BIG pest control company, my territory being the concord/Clayton area. The owner of this building needs to spend some money to permanently fix this issue. EVERY restaurant has pest issues, it’s just a matter of wether or not you take care of them the CORRECT way.
Eat at home and stop giving these people jobs! They will have to let go a lot staff if everyone started cooking at home themselves. These people working today are lazy, feel entitled and get upset when a customer walks in that they have to serve, so I can easily see why the place is so disgusting and not kept clean… EAT AT HOME / COOK AT HOME !
Are the other restaurants in that strip being inspected too? Seems like it could be another Sun Valley fiasco waiting to happen.
That is a shame! Our memories are several years old, but we really liked this El Tapatio. This one was better than their Clayton Road location, but CC Ole’s was better than either El Tapatio.
Oh, yes, agreed! Remember CC Ole’s homemade tortillas?
It’s a shame this restaurant has gone downhill since new ownership took over in 2005. NOT affiliated with the restaurant of the same name in Pleasant Hill
Thanks for clarifying that there is no affiliation with El Tapatio in PH; I was freaking out as THAT is one of my favorite dining spots.
Didn’t they also have their liquor license suspended last year for serving under age?
YES
Uhh No!
They didn’t loose their Liquor licsence because of underaged drinking.
It was a State Tax issue.
People like you should not spread rumors.
Just sayin’
@Mercury Mike Rumors about their liquor license would appear to be the least of their problems, at this point
Sorry Mercury Mike I am just giving the information that was given to me by one of the employees. If it its wrong, then I apologize .
Lena is right. El Tapatio is having more than enough problems staying open.
And when they loose(sic) their liquor license, for whatever reason, they certainly lose customers.
Without the infestation problems, this El Tapatio is one of the blandest and saddest taquerias in the area. If you drive five extra minutes into downtown, you have Taqueria Los Gallos in Todos Santos, and if you drive maybe a block or two towards Clayton you’ll find Taqueria Los Arcos next to McDonalds/Nations. And this isn’t counting a handful of other superior spots in between.
Taqueria Los Arcos is gross, i will never eat there again, they once had a cooktop appliance pulled out and there was green mold all over the back of the unit, they just pushed it back in and kept using it. When i pointed it out to the cashier she said its normal, i then walked out, didnt buy any food and never came back. I should of probably reported it to health inspectors.
I’m sad about Los Arcos. When I first went there in October 2015 (right after they bought out Los Gallos) it was amazing. I’ve been disappointed this last year. Food quality went downhill. Nothing tasted as fresh or flavorful as it did when they first opened. Not sure what happened, but it sucks because I used to go there all the time. Of course, now that I moved away from Concord, I’ll never go again anyway. But still, I wish they wouldn’t cut corners.
No on Low Arcos also. Tried it when having car washed nextdoor. Used to like the old El Tapatio on Willow Pass in the old days but no good now either. Never have cared for Treat location.
Los Arcos is not as delicious as it once was . What is going on… why would they not maintain quality food. Consistency people… restaurant owners… consistency. Why do corporate chain restaurants stay in business… consistency. When the restaurant has good food one month… and the next month, when you return, it’s awful… it’s just a letdown. Cooking at home is the best.
Oh good GRIEF! I almost went there for dinner 2 days ago!! So glad I changed my mind!
That added up a neat 50+ rodent droppings.
If a customer spotted the evidence then I suspect the employees are not giving a rat’s ptui about what’s happening in the shop.
talk too has terrible food. and they are related to other restaurants in the area.
The last time I ate there someone spit huge snot into my iced tea. I will never eat there again! It was sooooo gross.
OMG. Never going back. I was excited they got their liquor license back….oh well. Disgusting. Makes me sad.
I quit going there years ago once one of the waitresses started hooking up with the manager who was married with kids. Safe to say she ruined that marriage and is with the guy still.
We used to love this place. Then they lost their liquor license. We went back a few times and the place was practically empty. Eventually, we went elsewhere (sorry, I like my beer with my Mexican food). Now this? This will surely kill the business, but probably not the vermin! Time to give it up.
