A vermin infestation forced the closure of the N. Main St. Jack-in-the-Box in Walnut Creek on April 9, according to the Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department.

According to the inspection report, the health inspector observed two live cockroaches in the food facility. One cockroach crawling on the middle three compartment sink, and the second cockroach crawling on the wall next to the soda syrup boxes. The inspector also found five flies near the freezer.

The restaurant was reinspected and reopened on April 10.

Thank goodness. People pulling into their driveway mess up traffic all the time. Why not turn it into a Chipotle instead?

People choose JIB instead of Chipotle because they prefer vermin they can see to the microbial kind.

Nothing worse than Starbucks for messing up traffic. I don’t see Chipolte in business much longer. Too many out breaks most people lost confidence in them.

The Chipotle suggestion was my attempt at humor and irony. Sorry if it didn’t stand out enough.

Jack in the Box? Isn’t that the company that operates a chain of restrooms with snack bars attached?

No that’s Taco Bell

Taco Bell was rated as the cleanest of all the fast food joints recently.

I haven’t eaten at any of these places, but I do appreciate the fact they are posted for others to know. As Martha Stewart would say ‘It’s a Good Thing”.

Another one to avoid though we don’t really do fast food. Disgusting. For us there are no second chances with this kind of negligence.

Chipotle LOL

THEY ALLREADY HAVE BEEN SHUT DOWN SEVERAL TIMES YET IT APPEARS YOU DONT MIND BACTERIA AND STOMACH PUMPED

ALL WELL AND GOOD AS LONG AS YOU SUPPORT A ALLREADY DRFUNCKED FRANCHISE MODEL CATERING TO

People who think I object to all government spending are just wrong.

Inspections like this are great value for the tax money.

Do the rats and insects make you lose your appetite.
Read what the government allows in our canned and
packaged food products that we buy at the store.

I get suspicious whenever they ask “Do you want flies with that?”

Fried or grilled?

I prefer onion on my burgers.

also,give jib employees a body/clothing inspection as well-yuck !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yip…little Johnny’s in the bathroom picking zits.

Does anyone know why a restaurant would have a YELLOW Conditional Pass for almost 10 months? According to the Health Dept. website Sichuan House on Treat Blvd. in the Countrywood Shopping Center has had a yellow since 06/14/2017.

No one has bothered to close it down yet?

In the old days, we called JIB “gag in the bag”

Reggie at the horse stables used to call Jack-In-The-Box and McDonald’s “Clown Food.” I thought that was pretty witty when I was a kid.

No Mexican restaurants have been questioned regarding their compliance to the laws the rest of us must abide by.

Every restaurant has a little sign in the window indicating their health inspection rating. Not sure if you’ve noticed..if you haven’t heard about a “Mexican” Restaurant on the Dirty Dining column of Claycord, they are obviously compliant. Feel free to use this site to look up any Mexican restaurants since that’s what you are concerned about …
