Freebirds World Burrito on Geary Rd. in Walnut Creek is back open after a forced closure by the Contra Costa County Health Department.
According to the report, the department found the following violations on Feb.7:
- Minor violation – Nonfood contact surfaces clean
- Minor violation – Ware wash facilities: installed, maintained, used; test strips
- MAJOR violation – Hot and cold water available
- Minor violation – Adequate hand washing facilities: supplied and accessible
- Minor violation – Equipment/utensils-approved; installed; clean; good repair; capacity (e.g. sinks, CO2tanks, etc)
- Minor violation – No insects, rodents, birds or animals present
They were also inspected last July, when the department found the restaurant’s food contact surfaces were not clean and sanitized.
