A raging inferno was extinguished on Kirker Pass Rd. on Saturday afternoon.
The vehicle fire started around 4 p.m., and was quickly extinguished by firefighters with the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
It appears nobody was injured.
Thanks to the anonymous Claycordian for the photo.
Hmm, any guesses as to what it was before it went crispy ? ? ?
This is a fun game. Audi, Tesla , Buick?
Flammable?
I thought only cars on TV burned like that.
Doesn’t look quickly extinguished to me…
.
Carbecue.
.
…. wonder what caused the spontaneous BBQ? 🙂
EV? Lithium batteries burn extremely hot.
Golly! I don’t se a driver……
The fire is under the hood in the engine compartment, which is an indication of gas leaking onto a hot engine. People should get into the habit of opening the hood once a week to check the fuel lines for leaks, and while they’re at it, check the hoses and look for loose wires.
Are you kidding the majority of people don’t even know how to open their hood much less check anything.
… little tape and rattle can paint & she’s as good as new
An what’s that cap labeled 710 on the engine for ? ? ? ? OIL
Front end looks like a jeep crossover
