BART Ridership For Monday’s Warriors Parade Highest Since March 2020

BART’s ridership on Monday for the Golden State Warriors’ championship parade was the largest it has been for a single day since March 2020, according to the transit agency.

The 190,519 documented riders Monday was the largest since COVID-19-related shutdowns in the Bay Area two years ago but was still well short of the largest daily numbers ever recorded by BART.

The busiest day in BART history was for the 2012 San Francisco Giants World Series victory parade when 568,068 people rode the trains, while the second-highest was for the Warriors’ 2015 championship parade when more than 551,000 people used BART.

However, the agency said Monday’s numbers didn’t take into account a large amount of riders who didn’t have a Clipper card but were allowed in anyways by BART workers so they wouldn’t miss the parade.

I’m having grilled chicken with steamed broccoli tonight.
Gonna wash it down with a couple beers.

Just curious.
Did you take Bart yesterday?
Was it clean?
Did you feel safe?
Was it a long wait?

Do any of you take Bart daily?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

WTH BWIZZLE….. Are you trying to hijack this thread?
Cooking has nothing to do with it…

Anyway, since we’re taliking about it now… chicken and steamed broccoli sounds kinda bland.
Why not spice it up with some smoked paprika and pepper on the chicken and some melted butter with parmesan on the broccoli?
It only adds a few calories and will taste so much better.

Dare I ask what beer you will be washing with?
Shiner Bock would be my choice.

For dinner at the hacienda tonight I’m making grilled roast beef sandwiches with sharp white cheddar and fire roasted green chiles, tortilla chips, a green salad & Modello Especial.

@Dr. Jellyfinger
I’m guessing “BWIZZLE” found his (and probably others’) dinner menu more interesting than the woke parade. And I had a cavity filled this afternoon.

So, BART has no idea how many were actually paying customers? I don’t believe that for a second.

including fare jumpers probably closer to 250,000

Chris June 21, 2022 - 8:48 PM - 8:48 PM

Rode the Bart today. Same as last time-FILTHY & FARE JUMPERS. I would love to see the local media record a half hour at several stations to show the brain-dead management how much they really lose to the nonpayment crowd.

Enjoying a double cut ribeye with some garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. There’s really nothing better then a piece of quality beef.

Dr Jellyfinger June 22, 2022 - 8:01 AM - 8:01 AM

@ Sam, Ribeye is great but try a Chuckeye steak sometime & see if you can tell the difference (other than the 50% lower price that is).

SAM June 22, 2022 - 4:23 PM - 4:23 PM

Thanks, I will try that.

Overpaid and underworked union BART employees let people ride free? Why not? Fares increases and tax dollars are, after all, endless.
