That’s the quiet semi-rural Clayton I remember 🙂

My Parent’s friends owned the Clayton Club for years.
Great hangout.

That was a great time to be living in Clayton. It’s still a great place, which is why we’re still there.

My old boss Enroy Gomez used to live at his parents home in Clayton which is still there I think.
There was some supernatural things that happened at the home during the mid 1950’s he told me.
Part of the home was moved to Clayton from Nortonville by his father.
The old town ain’t what is used to be for sure.

Around that time the Clayton Club was the first stop on the “Saturday Night motorcycle trifecta”. Shoot over to the Roundup in Lafayette then back to the Starlite Room in time for last call….the “Good Ole Days”.

My family are old time residents of Clayton. The supernatural stuff that happened at the Gomez house took place in 1957. My mom was pregnant with me at the time and she, her brother, sister and her mother, my grandma, were there as witnesses. Rocks floated out of the sky and the activity was focused around the oldest son, he was about 14 at the time.

@Elaine
Grew up in Concord and always heard rumors about that.

Elaine,
What you describe is exactly what my boss Enroy told me about and that it would happen when someone (cousin) was there.
A few years before he passed away Enroy invited me and another employee to his family home and showed us a scrapbook he had that told of the events that happened there. I think his brother was the only one living in the home at that time;

Heard about the rocks raining down on the roof at the old arts and crafts house over the creek by Black Diamond rd. across from where the grove gazebo is now torn down of course told to me by the Clayton cops in the 70’s.
