Ukraine is gonna be part of Russia again.

XJ March 1, 2022 - 4:17 PM - 4:17 PM

Eventually, all will come to their senses and agree to a 4th booster shot to be considered “Fully Vaccinated” and at least another 6 mos of mandatory masking. Then, world peace.

yoyohop March 1, 2022 - 6:47 PM - 6:47 PM

Agreed. Russia will get what they want. America will shoot themselves in the foot with counterproductive sanctions. Billions of US taxpayer dollars will go to the corrupt regime in Ukraine.

LimeRidge Larry March 1, 2022 - 12:30 PM - 12:30 PM

When Comrade Mitchoff declares it to be over it will be over. This is the way.

Sike March 1, 2022 - 1:28 PM - 1:28 PM

Nuclear destruction of most of Europe or WW3 which would result in nuclear destruction for most of the world.

All because Biden and his radicals won’t stop buying Russian oil even though they’re invading Ukraine. Biden funded and is funding putins war effort by increasing ours and europes reliance on Russian oil.

Even though there is sanctions on Russia we’re still buying their oil and daddy Biden says he wants to keep going after renewable energy (he excludes nuclear energy so its all a joke). Energy instability created worldwide instability, which clearly results in war and therefore more damage to the environment and climate they claim they want to save so much.

They’re so entrenched in their position they would rather people die then change course, and people are literally dying in Ukraine because they wanted to destabilize energy supply to appeal to their fellow Woke cult members.

Clive March 1, 2022 - 4:33 PM - 4:33 PM

I think you’ll find that it is Trump, not Biden who has been praising and supporting Putin in the last few years

Janus March 1, 2022 - 5:17 PM - 5:17 PM

Clive

You are right.

Trump was being Mr. Obvious when he pointed out, rightly too, that the Russians out maneuvered Biden.

You know it was a true stateman like move when Biden told the Germans not to depend on the Russians for their oil needs. That the Russians might use it against them some day.. Oh my bad that was Trump the Russian lover who said that.

You know it was a true stateman like move when Biden told the European counties that they need to live up to their 2% GDP commitment to NATO. That the a weak NATO would embolden the Russians. Oh my bad that was Trump the Russian lover who said that.

Thank goodness that Biden recognizes that Russia is a giant gas station and oil exports account for between 15 to 21% of their GDP and placed an embargo on their oil exports. Oh my bad he didn’t.

Cyn March 1, 2022 - 6:49 PM - 6:49 PM

@Sike
Good post.

@Clive
Think again.

Steve March 1, 2022 - 1:38 PM - 1:38 PM

We hold them off and sink the Russian economy and Putin. Nobody wants him around. – he is old and more dangerous.

hanne jeppesen March 1, 2022 - 8:58 PM - 8:58 PM

Sounds good to me, although I don’t think his age is an issue. It is his power grab, and what he is doing is pure evil. Good riddance.

Anonymous March 1, 2022 - 1:54 PM - 1:54 PM

I’m hoping there will be real sanctions against Russia, including embargos on Russian oil and natural gas, and the resulting economic devastation will prompt the oligarchs to slip polonium into Putin’s tea, as he is so fond of doing to dissenters.

In reality, I think Europe, led by Germany — who is in Russia’s pocket due to their dependency on Russian energy, as Trump warned — will make a big show up front and then throw Ukraine under the bus just as they did the Poles and Czechs leading up to WWII.

But Russia is paying a heavy price. I read Putin’s Chechen hit squad received heavy casualties after they were geolocated by their own cell phone signals and then bombarded by Ukrainian drones. Apparently, they were taking selfies and sending texts to their parents back home, and their stupidity resulted in the death of their leader and many men. These guys are savages. They were given a list of people to murder and if not for their own smart phones, they may have been successful.

Ukraine is fighting for its life. Putin has sinister plans for Ukraine and I hope they make it, Russia pays dearly and Putin is murdered.

Randy March 1, 2022 - 1:58 PM - 1:58 PM

When somebody takes Putin out or WW3

Reasonable March 1, 2022 - 2:33 PM - 2:33 PM

Agree Randy. Don’t know about WW3 over this, but I think at some point a bunch of high level folks in Russia are going to take poopin Putin out.

Well Folks March 1, 2022 - 5:24 PM - 5:24 PM

Randy
One phrase for Valdy…Mossad Assassin

America March 1, 2022 - 2:03 PM - 2:03 PM

Many more innocent lives will be lost unless the entire world condemns the murderous tyranny of Putin. He should be treated like scum. No one should do business with them until the Russian people “take care of business” because I am sure they want him out, too.

Exit 12A March 1, 2022 - 2:15 PM - 2:15 PM

… in a mushroom cloud.

Ricardoh March 1, 2022 - 2:18 PM - 2:18 PM

Well it should have never started but it seems world leaders don’t care how many die. Should have said the Ukraine will not join NATO and wait for Putin to leave office. The Ukraine went twenty years without being in NATO a few more wouldn’t have hurt. If Trump was still president the Russians would have stayed home. How will it end? Not soon and probably a stalemate. If Putin keeps going he would never be able to rule. Another reason this is so horribly stupid.

The Grant March 1, 2022 - 3:28 PM - 3:28 PM

You are leaving out a big piece of this puzzle – the Minsk Agreements in 2014 and 2015 along with the 13 points that were agreed upon without being implemented because Kiev did not want to recognize Donetsk and Luhansk region as independent.

Gititogether March 1, 2022 - 2:19 PM - 2:19 PM

To answer q with q; is this just the start of a multi-territory invasion? If so, will the West move beyond sanctions to military deployment? And…what will the West do when china invades Taiwan?

MoJo March 1, 2022 - 2:24 PM - 2:24 PM

Russia is suffering from the sanctions but not Putin. He has isolated himself in his little bunker where he can play God. He doesn’t care about anything but winning at his war games. There are no off ramps and unless someone from his own inner circle does him in, he won’t stop. One of his famous sayings- ” If there is no Russia as it once was then there is no planet” Scary stuff!

Paul March 1, 2022 - 2:25 PM - 2:25 PM

Yes, Russia will swallow Ukraine. When it done, communist China will use the same play book to take back Taiwan. The USA will fight the Chinese to defend Taiwan or throw Taiwan under the bus. Chinese will ask North Korea and Russia for help. So we will likely to fight those communist countries. Let get ready for ww3.

Jo Jo the Circus Clown March 1, 2022 - 2:27 PM - 2:27 PM

You ain’t seen nothing yet… !!!

Tod March 1, 2022 - 2:46 PM - 2:46 PM

Whatever the outcome, at least one nuke will be detonated by Russia, plunging the world economy into chaos. Taiwan will be next and even more bloody. God help us all.

reekorizzo March 1, 2022 - 5:03 PM - 5:03 PM

No nukes can hurt me, I’ve got a mask on!!

The Fearless Spectator March 1, 2022 - 3:23 PM - 3:23 PM

Let’s put it this way: Climate change will likely become irrelevant.

To Do List March 1, 2022 - 3:43 PM - 3:43 PM

I think eventually Russia will control Ukraine except for continuing insurgent activity. There will be continuing sanctions, hostility and buildups of military in Europe. There is a 50/50 risk of China also taking Taiwan while the weak Biden is still president. Full disclosure, I way underestimated the drama of all the covid stuff and did not think Russia would actually invade beyond the Donbass region so my accuracy is not impressive right now.

Dorothy March 1, 2022 - 3:46 PM - 3:46 PM

The fact that Putin brought up his nuclear option AND put it on high alert means he wants Ukraine bad enough to destroy it if he can’t have it. And his
#1 demand that Ukraine never become part of the UK was just an excuse to do things his own way. Ukraine didn’t seem to have a plan to join the EU until after Putin started his invasion.

Cellophane March 1, 2022 - 4:27 PM - 4:27 PM

Ukraine will lose.

Europe will lose, we all lose.

The government is failing us again.

DD March 1, 2022 - 4:42 PM - 4:42 PM

They need to give Putin a means to get out and still save face. Putin and the Russian Army are already a laughingstock in the eyes of the world and the Ukraine, and it’s President, is everybody’s hero. Russia pulls out, aid pours in to the Ukraine by the billions and the sanctions will eventually lead to Putin’s downfall.

hanne jeppesen March 1, 2022 - 9:04 PM - 9:04 PM

That sounds as good as any ending. Hope it will come true. My heart is with the brave people of Ukraine.

Anon March 1, 2022 - 4:44 PM - 4:44 PM

Why aren’t all of the ‘Fact checkers’ doing anything about the fake footage circulating / claiming to be the Ukraine conflict?
What about the Cuban missile crisis, do you know history?
How about Ukraine Shelling separatists / civilians for the last 10 years?
What about the Filthy American politicians who have financial involvements in Ukraine?

I’m sorry people cannot put it all together, just like they couldn’t put together the virus psy op.

The Observer March 1, 2022 - 6:54 PM - 6:54 PM

I see you really bought into all of the Russian propaganda, Comrade.

Anon March 2, 2022 - 7:38 AM - 7:38 AM

It looks like you’ve fallen for All of the Lamestream media LIES.
The photo of the woman burned by a so called Russian bomb was actually from gas explosion years ago.

Dawg March 1, 2022 - 4:58 PM - 4:58 PM

In an all out war, Russia will defeat Ukraine. Putin doesn’t lose wars, he has declared victory over Georgia, Crimea, Syria, and Chechnya. He succeeds because he has clear, and achievable objectives, which allows him to appear credible to the Russian people.
Taking Kyiv will not be an easy task, Ukrainians are resisting and putting up a fight, and guerilla warfare is difficult to beat. However, if Kyiv happens to fall, Putin will set up a Russian friendly government.

Dr Jellyfinger March 1, 2022 - 6:07 PM - 6:07 PM

@ Dawg……………. Afghanistan !

Dr Jellyfinger March 1, 2022 - 7:24 PM - 7:24 PM

Well…. to be fair it wasn’t really a win for Putin but it was really a good laugh watching Biden completely fail the USA’s exit.

Noj March 1, 2022 - 8:28 PM - 8:28 PM

@ jelly
Putin wasn’t president of Russia in 1988/89. He was KGB for 16 years. I hope he finds the Biden family file in Kiev.

Dawg March 1, 2022 - 8:51 PM - 8:51 PM

@Dr Jellyfinger, Putin was elected president of Russia in 2012, the war in Afghanistan was with the USSR, 1979-1989.

Bob March 1, 2022 - 5:21 PM - 5:21 PM

Fantasy: Russian oligarchs along with perhaps rank and file Russian military overthrow Putin, and they go home. Xi might even decide its gone too far for China’s interests, and order Putin to stand down. As the sole nation still doing any sort of meaningful commerce with Russia, he’s probably the only man on earth who can tell Putin what to do.

Reality: Ukraine is reduced to cinders throwing at least two continents into unprecedented economic turmoil. If nukes or chemical weapons are utilized, a multinational famine results due to the loss of the single greatest collection of arable land in Europe.

SAM March 1, 2022 - 6:03 PM - 6:03 PM

I’m still waiting for it to start. Maybe it will stop some time after it starts. Everything I have seen so far has been propaganda.

hanne jeppesen March 1, 2022 - 11:14 PM - 11:14 PM

Could you be more specific? The bombing of cities in Ukraine is propadanda? The civilians fleeing to safety. The men staying behind to fight. Which is it, do explain?.

SAM March 2, 2022 - 5:08 AM - 5:08 AM

Ukraine’s sovereignty ended in 2014 when the US overthrew it’s democratically elected leader in an illegal coup and installed a puppet government.
At least 13,000 people have died in fighting since then in a war fueled by US weapons and neo nazi militias. This war did not begin last week.
Putin initiated the end of a war that’s started with the 2014 US coup in Ukraine.
NATO agreed to never push east in 1984. This is the end of NATOs 30 year effort to endlessly expand and threaten Russia since the collapse of the USSR.
obama did it.
Get your Taiwan flags ready 🇹🇼 and wear your mask, the propaganda war ain’t gonna stop.

Yertle the Turtle March 1, 2022 - 6:12 PM - 6:12 PM

When the mainstream media relocates it’s laser pointer for normie’s attention onto another ‘important’ matter.

Aunt Barbara March 1, 2022 - 6:49 PM - 6:49 PM

Better get out your Bible and dusty Rosary friends….

chuckie the troll March 1, 2022 - 7:35 PM - 7:35 PM

The wife and I have been in a study of Daniel and Revelation this academic year. I fear where the dust might settle. The Russian Orthodox Patriarch said he can see the Apocalypse, but sees Ukraine as the evil empire and Putin and the Russian army as the force of good. And then there are all of the surrounding nations including the Stans choosing sides. Is Putin desperate, insane or possessed? How did we get here this quickly?

Roz March 2, 2022 - 7:36 AM - 7:36 AM

@chuckie the troll~
We had followed studies with Arnold Murray of Sheperd’s Chapel in the mid 1990’s – 2008. So much of the Bibles past writings spells out how the future turns out…. ends. Here is a little bit of reading material.

The Observer March 1, 2022 - 7:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The big question for me is: If Putin gets really cornered here, is there a chance he’ll go for a murder/suicide and launch all missiles at the West?

Randy March 2, 2022 - 7:05 AM - 7:05 AM

… wouldn’t put it past him… his ego is the size of Texas and I can easily see him thinking “if I can’t get my way nobody will get theirs”

hanne jeppesen March 2, 2022 - 10:45 AM - 10:45 AM

It is hard to predict what someone like Putin would do. Although I was aware of how he poisoned his opponents, didn’t allow demonstrations, until recently I didn’t think of him as a mass murder. So, he is unpredictable. However, he also has a huge ego, and people with big ego’s don’t usually commit suicide, which I think he is smart enough to realize would be the outcome were he to use his nuclear missiles.
I hope I’m right.

No Excuses March 1, 2022 - 9:07 PM - 9:07 PM

I have hope. I hope the good people of Russia will take care of their own Putin problem… quickly.

I have faith. I pray that the good people of America will take care of their Biden problem… in Nov. 2023

Dr Jellyfinger March 2, 2022 - 8:05 AM - 8:05 AM

@ No Excuses….. you fat fingered the date…. Prez election is in ’24

But “no excuses” right?

I hope we can take care of our Biden problem long before the next election… Biden is crashing our country NOW!

Antler March 2, 2022 - 12:38 AM - 12:38 AM

No idea how this will end.
BUT why should Putin drop nuclear bombs on any nation WEST of Russia….. only to have the radioactive debris be carried by the Earth’s natural rotation wind straight over Russia itself? Someone no doubt will whisper in his ear that all he has to do is deliver one nuclear bomb by flying over Russia’s own airspace….. and thence over the Pole to take out our Alaskan oil fields and some of our major ports as a result of the ensuing tsunami.

Blessed be the Russians who packed the major streets of St. Petersburg in open protest of what Putin is doing. But they cannot physically GET to him!

FPN March 2, 2022 - 7:37 AM - 7:37 AM

Biden is Putin’s puppet. We should not be buying oil from Russia. We are all Putin’s puppets now. We all have Ukraine’s blood on our hands. My heart hurts for what is to come.

To Do List March 2, 2022 - 11:29 AM - 11:29 AM

Comrades? Well thank you very much, that’s right neighborly of you. The quote “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” is from Sun Tzu who wrote the Art of War, and you may have noticed it also mentioned in The Godfather and one Wesley Snipes movie about vampires. Trump had a respectful and professional relationship with Putin. Biden in contrast has repeatedly called Putin a killer and that Biden will get revenge against him for stuff years ago. So, which is the better strategy when dealing with adversaries. Ask the Ukrainians.

Stop look and listen March 2, 2022 - 3:03 PM - 3:03 PM

With lots of lives lost. I lot of valuable things destroyed , a lot of money wasted and still problems aren’t solved and life is no more truly secure

Ricardoh March 2, 2022 - 5:14 PM - 5:14 PM

I understand why Putin decided to go into the Ukraine. However he is now definitely a war criminal. When you target civilians for no reason at all you are definitely demented. No matter how this war comes out Putin has lost. My guess is before long he will be removed from power. From what his army is doing there can be no excuse. Some of the captured Russian soldiers thought they were going on a peacekeeping mission.

SAM March 2, 2022 - 8:10 PM - 8:10 PM

Princeton experts discuss Russian invasion of Ukraine ADMIT NATO STARTED THE WAR.

Just like I said. NATO started the war. Ukraine was overthrown by obama’s deep state in 2014 by coup to push NATO onto Russia’s border.

You NPCs need to learn history. Taiwan will be taken by china this weekend.
🇹🇼🇺🇦😷🤡🌎

To Do List March 3, 2022 - 9:42 AM - 9:42 AM

JWB: Such analysts as Henry Kissinger and Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago both issued statements all the way back in the 2014 that the Crimea crisis and the increasing hostility was NATO’s fault. NATO has for years been trying to peel away countries from Russia’s influence to oppose Russia, kind of like if the Chinese put military installations in Canada to oppose the US. Attached is a lecture from Mearsheimer but with your white hat/black hat spaghetti Western judgment you absolutely will not watch it ( https://tinyurl.com/5cskprj9 ) . And understanding the why of the current situation does not excuse the unjustifiable assault on civilians.

To Do List March 3, 2022 - 10:53 AM - 10:53 AM

JWB: I like to understand how or why things happen and learn lessons from them. Everything from wars, to the Titanic, to the Oroville Dam failure have reasons even if you are upset or horrified by the result. According to some experts on the subject, NATO trying to absorb Ukraine was a bridge too far.

JWB March 3, 2022 - 1:50 PM - 1:50 PM

just curious TDL do you simply cherry pick what arguments?

https://tinyurl.com/4fncx8w2

I don’t think I heard you make these arguments on Afghanistan or not?

JWB March 3, 2022 - 1:56 PM - 1:56 PM
To Do List March 3, 2022 - 2:29 PM - 2:29 PM

JWB: I really hope you are not spending too much time chasing down reasons to debate with me. I really mean that, it is not worth your time. Anyway, coming up with opinions on other topics from the Professor does not provide any reason to accept or doubt his stance on Ukraine. In the case of Afghanistan you post, I mostly agree with what he said so I am not sure your point. Our occupation was not sustainable. If the point of the Afghanistan interview was to make Biden look good, it did not serve the purpose. Your posted interview seems to be just prior to the killing of the 13 soldiers and that information was not available the Professor. In addition, the information about the poor choice of that airport as the debarkation point was not yet known to the public. Since then, the airfield was shown to be a much better choice and one where defenses would have kept the bombing from happening. So, at the time of this interview, the Professor did not yet know how incompetent this was and was only providing a global perspective.

Tim March 2, 2022 - 10:09 PM - 10:09 PM

The Cold War is again upon us and heating up. Will take generations for world leaders to grow up and learn from past mistakes. This will be a major problem for the West and the ordinary Russian. Don’t know how unstable Vlad can sleep as thousands of body bags are being filled
Best sci-fi movie is “ The day the earth stood still “ with Claude Raines and Gort. Could learn something from it.
Why can’t we all just get along?

HappyPappy March 3, 2022 - 5:33 PM - 5:33 PM

Well……here ya go, jwb.
