The East Bay Regional Park District honors active and retired military members on Veterans Day with free access and parking at Regional Parks, including Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont.

Sounds like you can look for free but don’t touch unless you pay.

Right? I thought the same thing. If one is going to do something for our veterans then do it big.

Sounds like a strip club

Parking should be free 24/7 in all those parks for local residents. The locals have supported them for years via bond measures.

Weak gesture EBRP. Make everything free all year long and give veterans the respect and appreciation they deserve. After all, everyone of their properties would probably be controlled by another country without their sacrifices.

“Roughly 40% of those who join the military never get deployed to a combat zone at all.
10% to 20% of those who do find themselves on a deployment wind up in a combat zone. Remember, that is not 10 to 20% of the total. It is just 10 to 20% of the 60% who get deployed.
Most of the troops who do end up in combat zones do not actually enter combat against the enemy. They are support troops backing up those who do.
When you break it down, about one out of every 10 soldiers in the military — 10% overall — actually go to combat and have to fire their weapons.”

Sounds like 90% of them just get preferential loans and treatment for their lives for just doing a few years easy work.

Seems like America hasn’t fought a war in her own defense since the 1940’s. Huh. Like they weren’t really even in America’s best interest whatsoever, like the Afghanistan misadventure.

No thank you but you can pay $450,000 to all of the deserving Veterans instead of proposing to pay it to illegals. I’ll donate mine to a Vet in need!
