If you think it’s hot in the East Bay today, just be grateful you’re not in Death Valley, where the temperature is supposed to reach 122-degrees.

Tonight it will cool down to 109 in Death Valley.

Was in Bullhead City when it was 116. That was hot. My car overheated in the desert. I have better cars nowadays.

Ricardoh-

Do you remember when drivers would hang
a canvas water bag on the front of their cars
to use incase your radiator overheated. How
about the old tube shaped swamp coolers that
hung outside your passenger window. It was a
common sight to see overheated cars on the
side of the road climbing the old Donner Grade.
Cooling systems have greatly improved since
those days.

This heat is crazy! I was visiting safeway and saw 3 children and 1 teenager inside a hot car while they’re mom was shopping! It was sad to see🤦‍♂️ but they had the air on. I didn’t approach them because they seemed fine. Please be safe guys. Remember to drink soda and cool down!

At noon it’s already 97º where I am. That was the high yesterday at about 4 PM.

I was in Palm Springs one time, hit 120º. You had to let the car run with the AC on full blast for about 15 minutes before driving just to make the interior barely tolerable.

The best time to visit Death Valley is November, when it’s in the mid to high 70’s.

remember June 17, 2021 - 12:37 PM - 12:37 PM

it was 116 in fairfield in 2006

But, But…

It’s a dry heat.

So it doesn’t feel as hot.

Specially when your skin starts feeling like dried leather.

Death Valley actually got to 128 yesterday. I checked their website!
