Why in the world are they wearing masks while alone in their offices on a zoom meeting.
So political and so stupid.
Seriously, five of them wearing masks! What statement are you trying to make? I can’t even look at them, it’s too cringy! The “woke” are so ignorant.
They are in public are the district office, not at home. They is a mask requirement.
They were back in the actual boardroom tonight.
Why is there a high schooler on a school board that talks budgets etc…..

The board members chose to meet in the district board room for the first time since the pandemic started in the spirit of re-opening. So those in masks were sitting next to one another, including the superintendent. There is a non-voting current student member of the board in order to have a current student voice not just represented, but elevated and included in all debates and discussions. Ms. Alas has proven to be an excellent choice. She is always well prepared and asks insightful questions. She also gathers student opinions between meetings in order to represent student voices accurately.

She’s a contemptible leftist who does the asinine she/her thing, virtue signals about living on “Ohlone lane”, and is the next generation of “progressive” authoritarians just dying to have the power to indoctrinate kids in CRT/leftist insanity and redistribute wealth from the people who earned it.

Can someone please join me to protest in front of Las Lomas high school. Erin McMoron teaches at Las Lomas and is back in person teaching but is voting against mdusd return to in class instruction.

@Puffandstuff and @Look at it: Wearing masks in one’s office would be political and stupid. I guess you didn’t recognize that four of the trustees were in the board room, as was Dr. Clark. Anyone who really pays attention to what happens in MDUSD would have recognized it. Better luck next time!

Mdusd teachers agreed on a back to school start date of March 29, 2021. Did you look at the details? Its only for 2hr/day, 2 times a week. And it is for independent study time, not class lessons!! 100% of the class lessons will still be via online Zoom!
Mdusd should investigate how other school district have started real in-class like WCSD, SRVSD, Acalanes SD, Orinda SD who all now do the teaching live, in-class, non-Zoom.
Yep even Brentwood schools are having a regular hybrid with class instruction. MDUSD is a complete joke!
The head of the MDUSD board is Cherise Khaund. She is a very honest genuine person who does not play games. On a one on one basis, you’ll like her. But you may not like her politics. When she arrived to Walnut Creek, she didn’t like The Northgate area trying to separate into a new school district. She didn’t like rich whites separating away for the poor minority schools. So she fought hard and the formation of NUSD lost. Then she ran for school board and voters chose her. She became president of the Ygnacio Valley Democrats Club. She became president of the MDUSD governing board. She is an active promoter of BLM and loves Diane Becton and Bernie Sanders. Soon, she will run for Walnut Creek Council and then become Mayor of Walnut Creek.
The District is a complete joke! There Hybrid model is a Glorified study hall. I guess it’s time to move to surrounding districts that are doing a true hybrid. In a 50 mile radius this is really the only district that is not doing a true hybrid!
