Rainy Weather Coming To Bay Area Friday, Saturday

by CLAYCORD.com
11 comments

The National Weather Service is forecasting a chance for light to moderate rainfall in the Bay Area this weekend, but not enough precipitation to trigger mudslides or other debris flows.

The rainy weather coming from the Pacific Northwest is expected to arrive Friday afternoon or evening, with the bulk of it coming Saturday before clearing by Sunday. There could be up to an inch of rain in mountain regions and up to a half-inch in valleys, with the most expected in the North Bay, according to the weather service.

There will also likely be wind gusts ranging from 15-25 mph that could impact outdoor medical tents.

People can find the weather service’s latest forecasts for the region at www.weather.gov/BayArea.

Darn. We’re overdue for a natural disaster.
.
California needs an earthquake… 7.9 magnitude straight up the Hayward fault so SF, Oakland, and Berkeley go underwater.

Please don’t tempt fate. I lived in Foster City for the 89 quake, and although my house was okay, it was not a pleasant experience. My daughter who was 9 at the time was freaked out for several days. We had a kitten that wedged itself between the sofa and wall and couldn’t get him out for hours.

Darn, not even enough rain to wash my car. I was hoping for an atmospheric river.

Plbbbt! No earthquake is forecast… in fact, it won’t even rain according to my authentic Native American girlfriend Nanahayhey…. of course I could ask her to do her never-fail rain dance along with her sister Sakapotatas if we all really need the rain…. I’ll sit in on the tom toms.

Dr. I hate to admit this, but the first thing that came to my mind was, what you say when Nanaheyhey leaves. I presume it is good bye. OK, I will go hang my head in shame, as I crack myself up.

In Pleasant Hill we’re at about one third of our average rainfall, per the following page:

I didn’t read the article but here is my prediction: It will barely rain in Claycord.

Happy for some rain.
