The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.

The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday at noon.

Today’s question:

QUESTION: Have you gotten the COVID-19 vaccination? If so, did you suffer any side effects?

Talk about it….

Talk to me again in a year. Short term is meaningless as any kind of positive/negative news impacts the stock price. Also, this has nothing to do with the COVID vaccine. Unless we are talking about getting rid of one of the worst sources of misinformation about the virus. Thank God we will have an incoming President that will actually try to have a plan. Will it work? Who knows, anything is better than the most incompetent President in this history of this country who thinks he can inject himself with bleach to get rid of the virus.. 389k deaths and nearly 4k deaths yesterday and he is nowhere to be seen.

RT January 15, 2021 at 7:19 PM

Probably no long term effect on Tweeker and Facepuke but any money out if their pockets is good in my book

Gittyup January 15, 2021 at 9:34 PM

History will show that a vaccine for Covid-19 was developed in record time under the leadership of President Donald Trump.

Anyone that believes Biden has a plan let alone a thought, is either a fool or the enemy of our Constitutional Republic.

Alan January 15, 2021 at 12:11 PM

Nope, no side effects here. That’s because I’ll never accept an untested mRNA “vaccine”. You’d be a fool if you did.

You are capable of critical thinking Alan. Good for you. Same here.

The Fat Cat January 15, 2021 at 1:47 PM

The vaccine is not “untested”

NoMoreFreeRide January 15, 2021 at 3:14 PM

I hope this means I’ll get mine faster. Do you have or have ever had polio? I didn’t think so.

Future Catlady January 15, 2021 at 12:21 PM

I had mild side effects. My arm hurt for a couple of days and I felt a little tired & achy. It’s definitely better than getting the virus…

Rae Dio January 15, 2021 at 1:11 PM

My understanding is that you can still get the Corona Virus, the vaccine just mitigates the symptoms.

The Fat Cat January 15, 2021 at 1:51 PM

@Rae Dio

Yes, you can still be infected, but the approved vaccines are highly effective (likely around 95% effective) at preventing *severe* COVID-19 (the disease caused by the corona virus).

This is also why the current guidance is to continue to wear a mask and social distance even if you have had the vaccine. You may still become infected and it is unknown if a vaccinated, but infected, individual is contagious to others.

Rollo Tomasi January 15, 2021 at 6:11 PM

“It’s definitely better than getting the virus…”

How do you know that? Have you had the virus?

Lazy K January 15, 2021 at 12:28 PM

Yes. After my first shot I had body aches and chills. It was actually worse compared to when I had covid.
No side effects after the second shot.

I have no intention of getting any vaccine until I am convinced it is safe. I believe absolutely nothing the so-called experts are saying and all the fear mongering about the COVID 19 virus. Just the other day a doctor died after getting the Pfizer vaccine, and today I read that 23 people died in Norway after getting the Pfizer vaccine. It’s all about big pharma paying doctors and politicians to push the vaccine onto the public. The health workers who are refusing to get the vaccine are the smart ones, and to those of you who call people selfish for refusing the vaccine, I say to you, who cares what you think? I will remain selfish and look after number one.
The virus is new and so is the vaccine, they are learning more everyday, but they have a long way to go before they will know enough to convince me. Nobody knows what if any, long term adverse side effects the vaccine will have.

I’d be more curious about the possible long-term side effects since the studies were only for 2 months.

@Dawg

To those that think we are selfish for holding off on the vaccine until we know more, those same people are selfish in there own way too. In fact everyone is selfish, just all in different ways!

All 23 were over 80 and very frail, 13 being in a nursing home. But, yeah, that’s scary… This is all so messed up!

Reply

KP January 15, 2021 at 2:54 PM

Who can get it? Distribution rate is less than 30%, with health insurers deciding they need to finish with frontline workers (who are refusing at a 50% rate in L.A.) before the rest of us can even be considered. I get it, but if they are refusing, MOVE ON.

Both my parents have already had the virus and recovered, and now have natural antibodies. But because they are over 65 are they going to be prioritized over younger immunocompromised individuals?

It’s all very frustrating going on a year with this nonsense.

Amen Preach ON! An ouchie on ones arm isn’t a symptom…the more that take the vaccine the better off we will all be as a collective. If I could I would get the vaccine tomorrow, sadly that is not the case!

Ms Clay, I am confused after reading your post, so can you please clarify through a link that the numbers you quote regarding elderly deaths due to the Covid shot are true? After all, if your numbers are correct, that surely means that the number of elderly people who have died due to this alleged Covid19 virus is remarkably similar or will surpass in the long run the amount of those who die due to getting the Covid19 shot(s) being that millions of elderly over the age of eight will be receiving the shot; am I correct? If so, then why would anyone recommend giving the shot to the elderly if the shot kills on the average equally or more of those over 80 years old than the alleged virus has statistically done over 10 months?

These vaccines were created by using mRNA-based technology, a relatively new way to make vaccines. It also still remains to be seen what the long-term immune response will be after vaccination.

I wish people could be kinder to one another and stop with the snarky comments already. Contrary to popular belief It is OK for someone to have a different opinion than you do. If we could attempt to have respectful discussions with one another vs labeling and name-calling the world could be a better place.

bla, bla, bla and more bla. Take it if you want, don’t take it if you don’t. But wait, there’s more. If you take this little vaccine and the next 12 rounds of it, you too can begin to experience normal life again, no mask, free to travel, etc….coming soon to a pharmacy near you

Shir January 15, 2021 at 7:43 PM

It is still better, in my opinion, than the weakened virus vaccines used in the past.

Charlie January 15, 2021 at 8:54 PM

@RT
My point, or my “bla, bla, bla and more bla” is that I can understand why some may be hesitant to getting vaccine. I can see both sides TBH.

I agree that it is up to the individual to decide what is best for them vs being trolled for having a different opinion.

@Shir
It could very much be, it’s just very new.

Karen January 16, 2021 at 8:44 AM

Charlie, Amen and Amen! Our world has become such an uncivil, unkind place. If you speak an unpopular opinion you are an idiot or worse. Where did mutual respect and civl discourse go?! “Love thy neighbor as thyself”. Wise words to which we should all aspire.

Chris January 15, 2021 at 6:13 PM

Whether you decide to obtain the vaccine or not is a personal choice. You can bet the Harris administration will have us wearing our diapers until sometime next year. Most of us will be enslaved to the New World Order for some time. Get use to it. Shut up and stand in line for your ration comrade (10 feet apart).
