Thanks, Ricardoh for the numbers…they don’t lie. I ponder how many ICU patients have found themselves hospitalized for health issues directly related to being locked up for 9 months?

Ricardoh: Thank you for the update! Do you know the total number of ICU beds in the county? I thought I could add the number of ICU patients to the number of available beds to get a total, but it seems like it changes.

cheeseburguesa Total 141 available 35

Looking up the total number of ICU beds yesterday since it wasn’t clearly stated or stated at all on the county site another listing said “around” 163 total.

County officers give these answers “erring on the side of caution” so the county doesn’t get sued. Keep that in mind since stuff can be overblown.

Glad I got a haircut a couple weeks ago.

So many idiots running our lives…

Wanna bet that our ‘health director’ blindly follows Newsom’s puppet in Santa Clara? Ours has no spine and could not make a decision on his own if his life depended on it.

Our county numbers:

122 current covid cases.
Case mortality rate 1.01% (known cases divided by deaths)
141 ICU bed are in use, with 36 of those being covid
35 open beds. This translates to 19.9% free beds in our county. I wonder what our normal occupancy rates are ….
We have 207 ventilators available for use.

@ Aunt Barbara, These are power hungry people who relish the perceived power that AB262 has given them. The people need to stand up against it. Small businesses need to band together and say, “No More”. But they won’t. And this next lockdown will be the nail in the coffin for many small business, ushering in the The Great Reset (formally known as Agenda 21). When small businesses can pay their loans and default, banks will be next… People will clammer for the dangerous vaccine and a measly $1,500 stimulus out of desperation. They will trade in their remaining rights for a meal.

Iota… Sounds like you are planning on taking the vaccine.

I hope you aren’t planning on reproducing any time soon, or your children, grandchildren, etc who might also take the vaccine. Besides changing DNA, potentially initiating a deadly virus interference, or a deadly reaction to the PEG in it, it also contains a spike protein that will sterilize women and men. Pick your poison, literally.

Good Luck!

Jim was at a gun store in Santa Clara county recently and spoke with a police lieutenant who was filling out paperwork for a personal firearm purchase. She said she decided to retire soon after 21 years with her current police force. She also said enforcing the ever changing COVID rules, particular the number of people who can gather, is essentially impossible to do.

The owner of the gun store, who does substantial business with law enforcement depts and officers in Santa Clara County, said that both the Milpitas and San Jose Police Depts are seeing many officers who are now or soon plan to retire/early retire. Many of those he’s talked to plan to move out of state. Likely just another result of the protests, looting, and COVID-19 ever changing orders. I can’t imaging the stress and hassles now if one is a first responder or in the health care field.

I am sick, sad and disgusted as I am watching this. Statements like “long hard dark winter” and other fear mongering terms is too much. Poor small business restaurants RIP.

It is past time to break out the tar and feathers.

Well folks, we are prohibited from traveling in planes, trains, and automobiles with anyone outside your household…our social bubble is now popped! They’ve decided to shutter us all in starting 12/6 and are applying the brakes due to Santa Clara County reaching 85% capacity in ICU…they are pulling the trigger sooner than the State order…basically the colored tiers have all melted and mean nothing! My heart goes out to all those businesses that are at the mercy of these unelected health officials…

@Mike

How should I advise my despondent friend who has been out of work since April to do when they are already paying $400 a month out of pocket for healthcare but mental health services would cost hundreds of dollars more each visit?

There ARE online health services available but many people I know are suffering from mental illness directly brought on by isolation, lockdowns, and job loss. If you’re worried about money you don’t spend money on additional doctor visits. Your tip about just getting help online seems tone deaf. And we shouldn’t have to get half the people in the population on happy pills or anxiety meds because they can’t handle the tyranny of their government officials.
