Last Tuesday, I took my wife to the County testing site in Antioch to be tested for Covid-19. She was told to expect her test results in 17 to 19 days. Today, she received a text from the County telling her that she had tested negative. A week is still too long to allow for any useful contact tracing in the event of a positive test, but at least it’s ten days quicker than we were told to expect.

My kids got tested last Monday in Concord and got their results this morning. We were told to expect results in 18 days.

That is why you google Rapid Covid Test and you will see there is 1 in Berkeley that you can get the test results back in 15 mins!!! And it’s FREE!!! Stop complaining about how long it will take when you have other options.

It’s too bad that they don’t list the number of people who have recovered. But that would be good news and the State and County don’t want to spread good news.

The Observer August 11, 2020 - 5:37 PM - 5:37 PM

Actually, the County does report the number of people who have recovered. Today’s update showed 8,488 people recovered. You can find lots of interesting details at:

The county lists the number that have recovered at https://www.coronavirus.cchealth.org/dashboard

Recovered cases
8,488
Total cases where the date of symptom onset or test date was over 14 days ago. Excludes deceased and hospitalized.

Claycord includes that number in their summary above.
