So what happened to the “herd immunity” that the so-called experts touted at the beginning of covid restrictions?

HappyPappy August 10, 2020 - 1:28 PM - 1:28 PM

Weird pandemic when you have to browbeat people to remind them how bad it is.

Bob August 10, 2020 - 3:26 PM - 3:26 PM

Isn’t it, though?

HappyPappy August 10, 2020 - 1:45 PM - 1:45 PM

Since Feb 1, forty-five American kids under 15 have died of the virus.
13,088 have died of other causes.
Since Feb 1, 11,371 Americans under 55 have died from the virus. Most with serious co-morbidity.
189,592 have died from other causes.

Alex Berenson…former reporter for The New York Times.

Raiderette August 10, 2020 - 2:48 PM - 2:48 PM

Yet here we are locked down and people are scared. SMDH. Thank you for the information!

Pyrrhus August 10, 2020 - 3:28 PM - 3:28 PM

So what? This isn’t news. We know that people with underlying conditions are more susceptible to COVID19 and makes their illness worse as now their body has to fight an aggressive viral infection. This is the type of reasoning the Tobacco industry used. They would constantly say that Tobacco never directly killed anyone. Yet, we know the impact it has on heart disease and cancer. COVID19 may not be directly killing people, but it is a leading cause towards the death.

Also, do you really want to back reefer madness Alex Berenson? The guy is a loon that has been discredited time and time again by medical and research experts. The guy makes his arguments based on anecdotal evidence, misinterpreting data from research by cherry picking statistics but going against the conclusion of the study. The guy is a sensational hack and only found fame again with right wing media. He is completely disconnected from reality and journalistic integrity.

parent August 10, 2020 - 3:49 PM - 3:49 PM

@Happy

You will be shut down, banned and removed for reporting actual intelligent information to the general public!

These numbers are good to have.

@And Raderette … could not agree more.

HappyPappy August 10, 2020 - 5:39 PM - 5:39 PM

Pyrrhus – A thousand pardons for not supporting your opinions. Since your opinion is soooo strongly stated, you surely have absolute proof to substantiate your claim.
Please post your proof……or you could admit you’re a liar.
Either option works for me.

Rollo Tomasi August 10, 2020 - 10:26 PM - 10:26 PM

Phyrrus disagrees with Berenson so he MUST be a loon and a hack.

Puffandstuff August 10, 2020 - 3:42 PM - 3:42 PM

May I remind everyone that while a person is outside if I can stay six feet away from you then I don’t need to wear a mask.
Many people are very confused by the health order.

Sam August 10, 2020 - 5:01 PM - 5:01 PM

NO NO NO! YOU MUST WEAR YOUR MASK AND GOGGLES AT ALL TIMES if you want to protect old people. You must only remove them if you’re on the receiving end of the county run public gloryhole. It is so unsafe to not wear your mask you may as well be killing us all. You could be tried for murder for even suggesting you could hike in the woods by yourself without a mask. Masks are the only way we save lives and beat this thing don’t you know? In it together 🤮

Rollo Tomasi August 10, 2020 - 10:28 PM - 10:28 PM

Make sure you wear a mask while alone in your car, though. You’re killing old people if you don’t.

Anon August 10, 2020 - 6:31 PM - 6:31 PM

Once again, still haven’t received an answer to my question of: Since When did the government ever care about our health and well being????

Anon August 10, 2020 - 10:04 PM - 10:04 PM
Pat August 10, 2020 - 11:26 PM - 11:26 PM

Why? Because trump’s pushing vaccines to be (politically) ready before they’re actually fully, properly and SAFELY tested?

Tomato Girl August 11, 2020 - 9:13 AM - 9:13 AM

@Pat shut up 🤐 it’s your progressive politicians shoving vaccines down our throats. Keep watching your local and national propaganda news. Quit spreading lies.
