Congressman Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) announced that he will host a virtual town hall to discuss coronavirus and the economy on Monday, August 10 at 3:30 p.m.
Congressman DeSaulnier will be joined on the call by Dr. Jesse Rothstein, former Chief Economist at the Department of Labor in the Obama Administration and professor of Economics and Public Policy at UC Berkeley.
During the event, Contra Costa residents will have an opportunity to ask questions about coronavirus and its impact on jobs, savings, and the economy.

DeSaulnier has jumped the shark with this one. Like we really want to hear from an economist who served under a dawdling President who couldn’t get his 5th Grade economic plan off the ground. In his pitiful eight years in office, he could not, for the life of him, figure out how to create jobs.
Be sure to vote DeSaulnier out of office. Literally anything would be better representation. If someone new doesn’t work out, we’d only have to put up with it until the next election. It’s sort of like Roulette, I guess. You keep spinning the wheel ’till you get a winner.

Do you care to support your statement with any facts? For example under the Obama administration 16 Million jobs were created starting starting following the financial meltdown low point in December 2009 through the end of his second term. In comparison under the Trump administration 4.7 Million jobs were created in his first three years.
Or looking at GDP growth. Obama’s best quarterly growth rates were Q2 14 with 5.5% and Q3 14 with 5.0%. in comparison Trump’s best quarters were Q1 18 with 3.8% and Q4 17 with 3.5%.
If you look at the annual growth rates Obam’s last three years were higher than Trump’s first three years. In 2019 the adjusted growth rate was only 1.99%. This is less than Obama’s three last years in office and less than five of his last six years.
I understand that you didn’t like Obama and I’m sure there are policies you may not have liked which if fine, nobody says you cannot be critical of an administration. But when you make up facts it only reflects bad on you.
If I thought I would have the opportunity to ask a couple of questions, and get the answers without a bunch of lying crap I might listen. But, when you have a suicide rate that has quadrupled since this lockdown, more loss of jobs then in the history of the US, (even during the depression), more homeless, etc…
