I hope they don’t let this guy go. Arson is such a serious crime.

He’ll be on the streets soon because this State and its majority of voters are weak and spineless on crime.

They’ll use Covid 19 as an excuse.

@anon: Well said! So true!

The Wizard August 8, 2020 - 12:56 PM - 12:56 PM

Homeless OMG. We need to check this poor man into a Gavin Newsom Hotel. And he should be provided with all the fee goodies, including drugs. We also need to have a Democratic recruitment team knock on his door and sign him up.

It would help to know if the fire was accidental or intentional.

kilo August 8, 2020 - 2:43 PM - 2:43 PM

To be arson it must be intentional.

Why the HELL wasn’t this fine citizen being lodged in a 4 star hotel in order to protect him from covid, at taxpayer expense!?!?

Aunt Barbara August 8, 2020 - 3:51 PM - 3:51 PM

I wish we could see the mugshot. There is a mentally ill homeless guy going around Walnut Creek trying to start fires with tree branches and one who smokes and throws the burning butts in full trashcan.
WCPolice hands are tied by morons running the horror show at City Hall..

Aunt Barbara August 8, 2020 - 11:02 PM - 11:02 PM

Thank you WC Resident. It’s not the one I spoke of, but, how scary knowing there are so many more disturbed wanderers on the loose in the cuckoos nest community we used to feel safe in.. 🙁

Well the Walnut Creek city council is actually invited these homeless people to town. Despite protests of many the city still increases its funding every year to supposedly help the homeless, despite all these Services fully available up in Concord. Walnut Creek wants to duplicate these services in effort to supposedly help but only have done this attract more more homeless to town. The worst part is they’re so stupid they are not seeing the cause and effect. We will argue that these are local residents but they are not. I go out of my way to talk to them and they’re all from out of the area come to Walnut Creek where some homeless claim panhandling can make him $80 in a few hours.
I blame the Walnut Creek City Council.

As with so many before him, “known to law enforcement”

Tsa August 8, 2020 - 6:25 PM - 6:25 PM

Probably upset that he didn’t get a free hotel room, free drugs and other assorted freebies…
Now he has free room and board courtesy of the taxpayers, unless he’s already been released.

By all means let’s defund the police! This guy will be released soon. The leftist politicians that run this state care more about criminals and foreigners than they do about the average citizen. We are here to pay their outrages taxes. This state is becoming a sh!thole. It will only get worse if Sleepy Joe is elected!

When will Governor Newsom be arrested for burning down the California economy? He has killed more people than P.G.&E.!

I drove past the burnt area behind and into the Rossmoor Diner Restaurant. Very destructive. Too bad when you release the nut jobs they can’t put ankle monitors on them. Arson is so scary.
