A vegetation fire is burning off Laurel drive in Concord.

Firefighters are on their way to the scene.

UPDATE: The fire is burning in a county-owned vacant field near Ellard Place.

It is a vacant lot was fenced off a few months ago. I has boarded structures along with a few horse stables. Thought I heard to was going to be developed with some housing.

When I was at the fire today helping put it out. I heard one of the neighbors yell that she had “called the developer” and told them what was going on.

It was pretty crazy, the neighbors are lucky that nothing destroyed their homes. It did get a couple fences but not to bad of damage.
