Apparently someone who died on 5/31/2020 that initially was reported as a COVID-19 death, and then retracted, has been reinstated as a COVID-19 death. He or she was in the age 71-80 age group. RIP.

I wonder how the numbers will be a week or two from now due to the lack of social distancing in all of the protests and riots.

The calm before the storm…… in 2 weeks after the riots, we will see if the Shelter-in-Place was necessary.

I know what you mean, we are getting an extra SIP now. Right now, we are having a wind up! We are sick of tired of getting a wolf by the ear telling us more and more and more hard time:(

If stats don’t spike after the lack of social distancing among protesters and looters, then this virus has lost its horsepower.

Joatmeal June 3, 2020 - 2:11 PM - 2:11 PM

That would be a good thing.

the expectation is that cases will go up. But the question will be does the increase meet STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT increase. The good doctor should know what “statistically significant” means. A few more cases does not make a pandemic! Especially after people get back out there in the public. Because of course we would expect more cases after everyone has been on unconstitutionally non pandemic lock down. The question is will that be a statically significant number when it increases, if it increases. In terms of other states that did not close, nothing out of the ordinary happened. And even states that reopened, cases we up a bit at first, and then they went down. That’s the pattern of this disease looking at the science from other states.

But Denise, none of that fits the County officials’ narrative.

Kauai Mike June 4, 2020 - 6:49 AM - 6:49 AM

as of 06/03:

1,513 confirmed cases (CCC) with 38 deaths = 2.51% death rate.
