My husband and I have tried 3 times to be tested.
The first time they ran out.
The 2nd time there couldn’t get the printer to work.
Today the bldg we were sent to was completely closed and no testing was taken place there.

AND they expect to test millions of us??????

Sam May 13, 2020 - 4:25 PM - 4:25 PM

Are you sick? Or are you trying get a test for the novelty of getting a test? Also It sounds like your doing a lot of running around for someone who is sick and should be staying at home to keep me safe as I’m an essential person.

Me May 13, 2020 - 7:02 PM - 7:02 PM

I got tested perfectly fine in Hayward. I live 30 mins away from there. Setup an appointment online. Got there on time. They saw me right away. Had the results in 15 mins. And it was free. I don’t know where you are looking but if you tried 3x. It sounds like all at the same place. You can always try other places. Contra Costa County has plenty of tests in many areas.

Where does the number recovered come from? I am not seeing that on the CC Health website, just might not be looking in the right place.

I agree……just like they have absolutely no reason putting Healthy people on House Arrest.
Now go back to Vehicular Deaths…….and tell us all how they are curbing those.

Sam May 13, 2020 - 4:37 PM - 4:37 PM

I could care less about a virus. Seriously what are they going to do to make driving safer? It’s literally a more pressing safety issue. The roads too, fix the roads that we pay to have maintained. In the holy name of cov19 please fix the roads..if any of this is about our safety, fix the roads

Me May 13, 2020 - 7:08 PM - 7:08 PM

What are you talking about/?? All those people that died, That have caught it and that now have permanent health issues cause of this. Most of them were healthy. You act like because you don’t have it you are in the clear… No, Simply not the case. I know you think you know more then the EXPERTS but, You really don’t. You have any idea how much WORSE this could have been with out the lock down? How many more that could have caught it and died? You are only thinking of yourself. That’s a shame.

Sam,

these 2 things are WAYYYY different. You want to compare a yearly thing to a 3 month thing???? In 3 months we have almost 85k deaths in the US alone…. California has 2770 deaths. This is WITH stay at home orders. Do you really think with out these orders it would be this low? No No No. We would most likely see 3x-5x worse in not more. You could be 1 of them. Maybe you don’t care about your life but some of us do.

Sam May 13, 2020 - 8:39 PM - 8:39 PM

Sorry I gotta go with the facts, science, and data on this one. Stay at home orders have not made any difference. The data we have NOW does not support your claims. It’s time to adjust your thinking accordingly..if we are basing what we do on science and data and facts of course. Yes they do need to spend our money on fixing our roads for safety. It scientifically WAY more dangerous.

dan May 14, 2020 - 7:49 AM - 7:49 AM

@Sam – you mention you have to go with the facts and science on this one. Can you share your sources? What data supports that the stay at home order didn’t work?

Ann May 13, 2020 - 12:15 PM - 12:15 PM

The agenda is clear destroy the economy Tesla is moving to Texas even Tesla gets it

KingOfC May 13, 2020 - 12:26 PM - 12:26 PM

Tell that to somebody who has lost a loved one due to this virus.

Me May 13, 2020 - 12:41 PM - 12:41 PM

People who’ve lost a loved one should be yelling the loudest that their loved one was sacrificed so the collection of Western states can get their $1 Trillion bailout from the Fed. That is all this is about is $$$. Cali with their unfunded CalPERS liabilities and high speed train to nowhere. Make it look as bad as you can and beg for money.

Spare me the emotional arguments.

Ozzie May 13, 2020 - 12:49 PM - 12:49 PM

Ann and who benefits from your premise. Tell us who is to gain. What’s the end game? Huh. Put a mask on.

Sam May 13, 2020 - 4:46 PM - 4:46 PM

No, you put on two masks. You got a glimpse of the end game in district 25 last night and Supreme Court ruling today. California is poised to vote for Trump. Mark my words, the game is already over

Mayflower May 13, 2020 - 12:44 PM - 12:44 PM

KingofC: You can run, but you can’t hide. Shelter in place will not eradicate this virus. There is a real virus afoot for sure, and thankfully data is beginning to indicate that it is not a lot more deadly than the flu (see Dr. Bhattacharya of Stanford, the results from his serology studies so far, and his thoughtful interpretation of the data; he’s very realistic about the good news, the bad news, and the big picture). We never want to lose a loved one to ANYTHING, amen, but the fact is we cannot sustain long term lockdown. It becomes not a matter of dollars vs. lives, but lives vs. lives.

Ozzie May 13, 2020 - 1:42 PM - 1:42 PM

Trump says it will go away so if we wait will be fine.

Ann May 13, 2020 - 1:38 PM - 1:38 PM

Ozzie you are not my Daddy I wear a mask where masks apply one does not need to wear one outdoors but if you want to wear one go ahead I wont dictate what YOU can or can not do!

chuckie the troll May 13, 2020 - 1:43 PM - 1:43 PM

Xi coronavirus is ubiquitous to the environment at this point, therefore, no containment is possible. And that means that our rulers are idiots, have ulterior motives, or both.

Instead, we get intrusive government surveillance (where are all the people who opposed Echelon?) which will be with us forever, spikes in cases every time we get some freedom, economic ruin with the governor choosing who/what is essential, and lots of people dying from something else (how many cases of cancer, heart disease, high BP, etc…have been diagnosed in the past 2 months?).

Ann – Great counter argument.

Well thought out.

Mongoose May 13, 2020 - 4:27 PM - 4:27 PM

Herr Oberst Ozzie would have been right at home a few k miles East of here. So if I pass the test do I get a tattoo on my wrist? Maybe one for each test I pass.

Hard to believe May 13, 2020 - 5:10 PM - 5:10 PM

It’s hard to believe that some of these “positive case count” numbers have stayed the same for weeks. Take Clayton numbers for instance at over 11,000 in population there is only 5 positive case count. Are people not sick or just not being tested?

Kauai Mike May 14, 2020 - 6:00 AM - 6:00 AM

As of 05/13:

1,080 confirmed cases in CCC with 33 deaths = a 3.05% death rate.
